What a great post. I've had an episode of depression the last few weeks. But I am a huge believer in definitely doing something when we get so low. It's hard b/c the depression gets a hold of us and even thinking of "doing" anything is too much. But even trying some of these things, although it may not lift the depression completely right away, I find that it will bring relief, even if only for awhile.
I like to clean too; that really helps get my mind off of it all. I'm not creative, but I know that works for a lot of people. I do try to get outside with the dog. I call distress or crisis--just to hear a voice that understands, and to talk about what I'm going through. That is almost always helpful for me. Posting on HW really helps me too. Having a bath is good; the essential oils really help. Sunshine is very good.
Comfort from loved ones helps; but a lot of the time that is hard to come by....
