Is this the forum for discussing thyroid problems and associated feelings with trying to level out on medication?

It could be, lets see if anybody responds to your post. If somebody is experiencing the same thing, they will respond. I am sure that it effects the depression.

I know we have people with thyroid issues.

Hi there,

Im afraid I cant really help in terms of specific advice for thyroid problems but I want to welcome you to the forum and if you provide a bit more detail, I may be able to make some more general suggestions based on your cirumstances. I know thyroid problems can affect mood and I know there are people out there with thyroid problems (As Kitt has said) so hopefully there will be someone along who has specific experience.

You are all so nice - thank you! Having been a perfectly happy and upbeat mom and wife, having been hit with a slowed down thyroid isn't too fun. Weight gain, can't get out of bed, lethargic, don't really care if my kids are up in time. Ugh. Thankfully I'm a stay at home mom so I've not been fired! I'm pretty sure the medication is supposed to kick in and help stabilize things. Until then, I'll count my blessings.
