Prayers and Love for Kitt!!

My dear Kitt ,It really saddened me to read this thread and to hear once more you are faced with such pain .You have been there for so many of us in our hours of need .
I`m right there with you.In my deepest thoughts and heartfelt prayers.
I really hope your sister does not suffer cancer is such a hard battle to fight no matter where it is .
I pray to the lord that he eases her pain and makes her journey as as comfortable as possible.
Take time to heal yourself your family need you now .
Always in my thoughts and certainly in all my prayers.

To My Wonderful HealingWell Family,

My sister is out of ICU and back on the Gyn-oncology floor.  They have established it is for sure a primary ovarian cancer in the abdominal cavity with multiple lesions, the largest one on her left ovary. She also has been dx with COPD, ? breast mass which will be biopsied on Mon, kidney failure, her myeloproliferative disease and is  in a very weakened state.

They want to build her nutrition up, have her received RT and Pt and 3 rounds of chemo plus a angio of her heart before they would consider surgery...............so if she makes it through all that we would be looking at surgery in about 4 months.  Meanwhile she will have to be here at the U of MN campus for all treatment.

I need to take more vitamins.
I just thank my God for giving me this site to come to as it is my therapy and takes my mind off all.

I have no words adequate enough to express to all of you the difference you have made in my life...............I thank you and I love you for who you are and what you do daily here in this wonderful forum.

You lift me up when I am down...................................

Thank you so much.  I am home right now and going to call my neice at the hospital in a few minutes here. It is hard to want to be in two places at once and this is one time when my own motto " stay in the moment" is hard for me to do.  My head wants to be in two places.

I will email you don't worry, I might even show up on your doorstep....... . Thank you as always for your words of wisdom and support.

To all my wonderful friends, my sister has turned the corner so prayers do work and miracles do happen.  It has been 14 days today, she had her first chemo last night and was discharged to a transitional home today.  It is like a Ronald McDonald Cancer Home for adults.

She may be there and return to the hospital for all treatments and appointments until surgery time which may be 3 months as the Docs want to shrink the tumors before surgery.  She must provide her own caregiver at this wonderful "Hope Lodge" but she will have a private quarters and then share the house with other cancer patients..........it is newly built and a blessing from heaven and the people who donate their time and funds to the cancer society.

10 blocks from the hospital.  The hospital shuttle will pick her up and take her to all scheduled appointments. 

All of this is free except for buying and cooking own food.  They try to make you feel like you are at home. 

My husband has surgery tomorrow for his prostate cancer so I won't be able to go up to the cities for a few days but I am so glad her daughter can be with her.  I will go and stay when I can.

I do not have words that can adequately express my thanks but know you are all diamonds.

My prayers for tomorrow for your husband and more prayers to your sister in the coming months......and last but not least prayers for you! You hang in there and know that we are here for you......I would be here whenever you need me and I mean that. Please remember that there is a "you" in all of this madness and taking care of you also takes care of your loved ones as well. Do what you need there as necessary. Harder done than said I know but try your best.

My thoughts are with you and your family. I admire the strength that you demonstrate daily both here in Healing Well, and in your private life with your family. Just by reading these comments, I can tell that you are indeed loved and admired by many who are ready to provide the comfort to you that you make every member of this forum feel. I am glad to hear that things are starting to look up for your sister and husband. And thank you for all the compassion that you have shown me, even if you didn't know you were providing it. I will continue to send happy thoughts your direction!
