Hi there,

 

Can anyone tell me how long it takes for Zoloft to "kick in"?

Ginny,

It usually takes anywhere from four to six weeks for zoloft to fully kick in, but you may feel the benefits from it sooner.

Yep, I'm a veteran here at HW.  The issues keep mounting.  I think I can be a part of about 6 or 7 of our forums now.  LOL. OY.

 

Well, I hope to see a difference with this Zoloft soon. I'll start taking it this week when I get the script filled.  If I can get the anxiety/depression treated, I'm really hoping that will curb the Fibro and calm it down.  It's a monster right now, and definitely part of my anxiety problems.

I got great results from it in just about a week. My dad and my brother are also on it. I tried Wellbutrin and it didnt' work at all. Prozac worked but it goofed up my libido. Hope Zoloft is the one for you, but if not keep trying till you find one that works.

Hi...I'm kind of new here and am SO glad to have found HW! The support here has been wonderful! I've been on Zoloft for years. It's the only anti-depressant that works for me. I'd been tried on most all of them & nothing else worked. For me it took only about a week to start working. I'm on 200mg daily and have no side effects. Zoloft has been the best for me. I wish you well with it!

Thank you for the encouragement!  I'm hoping this works too.  Paxil was a demon drug for me. So I'm a little bit nervous about taking another SSRI. 

 

If I can see improvements in one week, WOOHOO!!! That would be fantastic.  I'll keep you posted on how I do.
