Hi Confused, Isaac may be avoiding you because of the over-texting and calling, but as far as him being verbally abusive and cruel to you....well, there is no excuse for that whatsoever. No one has the right to call another person names or say mean-spirited things about them or their family. That is especially abhorrent behaviour from someone who was physically intimate with you. I hope someday you will know, in your heart, that you do not deserve that. It is never okay for a man to do that to you, Confused, no matter what. Keep working with your counselor, and make sure to tell her exactly how you feel. She will be able to see things that you might not, and she will help you to feel better about yourself and to not accept anything but loving behaviour from others. ((hugs))

hello everyone. thank you all for your support. here is an update on my dad. i just got back from the hospital. i was there all day for my dad's surgery. it went well. the docs burnt the small cancerous tumor (just 1 cm). they didn't find any other tumors :-) he will be put on a list for a liver transplant but first they have to make sure his heart gets better (he might have heart surgery sometime in the near future). he's had a heart attack a few years ago and has some blockage. once they take care of that (if it goes ok) they can put him on the list. i just wanted to update you all. they will also give him a new drug that is out for liver cancer (hopefully this will decrease the chances of the cancer coming back).  i'm just praying and trying to stay positive. thanks again for your support!

Thanks for the update Confused, I am glad that your dad is doing okay. I am glad that they were able to burn the tumor.

Stop having sex with people you are not married to. If people would abide by this, millions upon millions of problems just would not exist. Including yours.

UC since '76, that is a true statement. Unfortunately, we as humans are prone to different weaknesses. Some people lie, eat too much, and become addicted to various behaviors. The important thing is that we learn from our errors that were done intentionally, or otherwise. I'm sure Confused Girl will learn a thing or two from all this.
