nil estrogen & testosterone levels????????

mad  hi is there anyone out there that knows much about having nil or low estrogen & testosterone levels???? i went to my g.p. yesterday  to get my blood results and they came back NIL?? im at the point where i'm becoming depressed,cry at the drop of a hat,cant control my mood's,everything's an effort,i hate my life and the list goes on!!!! i should explain that at the age of 27yrs i had a radical hysterectomy then 2 months later i lost both ovaries. I normally have ESTRADIAL & TESTOSTERONE IMPLANTS but the last couple of times i had them done the gyne put them in my upper thigh and within a week they had resurfased and never worked. I know i need more implants but am scared they will just keep doing the same thing!!!!! I'm very sad and confused, can anyone give me some advise please?????? rose-buud40. smhair

confused   Hi Rosebud, I don't have any idea about the implants for you. Can they try somewhere other than your thigh? Even though I can't be of any real help, just know that I am concerned and will try to find a way to get your situation sorted. I know a lot of nurses and maybe one of them will have an idea. I'm a nurse, was a nurse, but I never really dealt with your situation. I mostly worked on stroke and head injury units. Good luck to you. I'll let you know if I find any news for you.

Do the implants give you more than oral medications would? Is it that you need more than the oral medications can give you? I was just wondering. I went through a time when I needed hormones when I was in my thirties, but I didn't have the situation that you did. I had my uterus punctured when I got a tubal ligation. I also got pelvic inflamitory desease. Things just didn't go right, but in the end it came out okay. My hormones got back to normal. I am sorry that I am not much help either. Hopefully Learning2fly can get you some information. It sounds like your body is pushing out the implants. Unless it is the muscle.

I hope that this works out for you and that the hormones work for you. We do get emotional when our hormones are out of whack.

cry  hello to gettingby and learning2fly how are you both?? thankyou for ur reply's. just letting you know that bacause i have an ileostomy my gyne cant put the hormone implants into my abdomen anymore as they say it doesn't work?? one thing i do know is that if i have another 2 put in my thigh,my body just rejects them within a 1 week period. also i cant take oral medication because i have a rapid transit with my small bowel and dont absorb tablets so everything i take is either liquid or melts on my tounge!!!!! what to do hey??? i honestly dont know,but i cant go on like this anymore. 2day is a worse day than yesterday. why doesnt this pain stop. sorry i'm venting again!!!!! best wishes to you both. have a nice day/night....... beverley   shakehead

Just a quick reply to say that I hope that you are feeling better and I am sorry for your circumstances. I hope that your body doesn't reject the hormones this time. Let us know what is going on. Got to run.

hi beverly. jamie, male, 37. testosterone defeicint from birth. lack of testes. annorchia. was on the impants for over 17 years, always popped them, darn problematic, as a teen the injections, then 17 years of impants and for the last 3 or so years the testogel. fantastic, rub it in, belly or thigh after showering and yes it works well, no waiting in between implant appts whilst the last has gone dry and we get menapausal and real darn cranky. check with a registered endocrinologist-hopefully you can get an infused gel that will work for you. good luck my friend. jamie.

I saw your list of diagnoses and figured oral wouldn't work for you. I have talked to my friends and they say injectable or gel/cream is the only other way to go in your circumstances. There are also estrogen patches available. Good luck!!

hi to all just letting u all know that next week i start using the hormone gel!!!! I cant wait as i'm sick of all the horrible menopausal symptoms. And again thankyou to all!!!!!! beverley. :)))))
