Well I'm awake and can't sleep again.  I guess last night was a fluck..............

Hi April,

I am so sorry that you aren't sleeping. I would say go with the meditation. Have you ever tried melatonin? When I dont' have my ambien, it helps me a lot. It is a natural hormone that our body contains, but as we get older, we produce much less of it, so that is something that you could try. I use to use something called sleepytime tea too. It helped a lot. I could sleep forever, so I don't have a problem with that. more like trying to stay awake. But I take meds for that too.

My sleep has gotten alittle better, not sleeping through the night but better then it was.

My teeth are better also thanks for asking.

I have been going through alot of aniexty attacks because I've had a bad weekend.

I'm going through a divorce (no paper signed yet) and my husband is giving me a hard time and stating he is moving away with my girls.  He is also getting money from a law suit and says he isn't giving me any of the money........I am scared I am alone and nobody is around for support.

I don't have a job and no money......what am I going to do???

Awww April, sorry to hear all you're going through. No wonder you're not sleeping well. With all that's going on I probably wouldn't be sleeping well either.

I'm glad to hear that your teeth are feeling better at least.

Take this one step at a time. I don't think he can just move away with the kids. You have rights. He has to get full custody in order to do this, so it is far from over.

I hope that you are getting better sleep. Did you ever try melatonin? It is natural snd works good.

I hope that your teeth continue to feel better. I am in the same boat as you as far as dental. So I know what you are going through. Remember when anxiety shows it's ugly head, breathe.....

Why does life have to be so hard......SLEEP  what is sleep ????  Don't mind me I'm just writing what ever..  I have tried the melatonin, I take it every night.  It does not seem to work to well for me....what does...........NOTHING !!!!!!

I have so much on my mind and I can't find the right words....

I know it's easier said than done, but just try to take things as they come. Do what you can, but try not to spend time overthinking things. Like I said, far easier said than done.

I'm going through unemployment appeals right now, and I'm trying my best not to worry, because it doesn't do me any good. It just makes me more stressed and stress contributes to all my health issues. I remind myself quite a bit that it doesn't help to think about it, and I choose to think about happy things when I find myself thinking about stressors.

Like Karen said, try to take things one step at a time too. Divorce and all it entails is a process, and you can only do one thing at a time. Focus on the step you're at. Worrying about how things will end up won't change the step you're at, and it won't change the end result either.

I have found that as I go to sleep the more I focus on my breathing, the less I think about other things. Have you tried that?

I've been experimenting with some free online nature music and sounds. It's proving to be quite helpful. I like to use http://www.soundsleeping.com/ because I can create my own mix to some degree of what I find relaxing even when my goal is just to relax and not necessarily sleep.

Still having problems sleeping.....my new doctor started me on roserm.  So far no luck, still have problem falling asleep and staying asleep.  It also makes me feel like a hangover the next morning.  I have a better experience with regular ambien.  I'm not sure if anything is really going to make me sleep like a normal person.  Soon I should be going for a sleep study maybe that will give the doctors some answer's why I can't sleep.

Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving the holidays are here and we all need to stick together and be there for one another....

My pulmonologist is also a sleep specialist, and I was thinking of asking him what good a sleep study does.

Sorry to hear you're still having trouble sleeping. I know it must be really frustrating.

APRIL, me and sleep are butting heads too. albeit i have found that keeping busy until i totally bomb seems to help. men, women all can be as*****s. (equally) there is good, bad and ugly in both genders. jamie. keep well, and i hope you get some good zzz's soon. with compassion. jamie

Hey everyone

I haven't been sleeping regularly either. Every since I met my biological cousin two days ago I keep having bad/weird dreams. Last night I got into bed at around 11:30 pm because that's when I felt tired. I fell asleep and had a dream that my biological mother was holding my hand and we were walking down the street by her apartment. I woke up sweating and I started crying because it was so weird. I haven't met my biological mother... the last I saw her was when I was 6 years old, right before I was adopted.

I've gotten like 5 hours of sleep the past 3 days.

Listening to my ipod doesn't really help either... it just makes me cry kind of when I listen to sad songs.

what you are going through is going to seem over whelming at this time. Try to take it in stride and go with the stiuation. It isn't as scarey as it seems. Did you ever heare why your mother gave you up for addoption? What did people tell you?
