Welcome to the forum, and thank you for this post. I think it would be nice if we all shared what we do to help us to feel better.
I know that sleeping isn't the answer, but often I allow myself to do that, and I feel better the next day. I think guilt plays a big part in our deperssion. And feeling guilty for doing nothing is hard to deal with. But sometimes we just need the rest and to excape from everyday life.
Walking is good. I do that a lot. It seems to be good physically and mentally. Also taking life one day at a time. Try not to worry about the past or the future, stay in the "now".
I hope that this helps some, and I hope that others reply with their ways to cope.
