Congratulations on putting your "all" into getting better. There is a lot to do regarding lifestyle, seems a bit self-sacrificing, but then you may just find out you ARE sensitive to caffeine, sugar, alcohol. Since you are out in the boonies, hope you can go for walks in the sun/fresh air a couple times a day for a breather. Bundle up and wear your sunglasses.
Some have said DBT is excellent. I have a book The Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Workbook for Bipolar Disorder, Sheri Van Dijk MSW - got a used like new copy from Amazon. Could be what you are looking for, if not great 30 day return policy, no questions.
Some like CBT, some hate it. I didn't like it when I went, my counselor would ask pointed questions, or make candid observations, such "do you always attribute such low motive to people around you? I got mad and quit after a few sessions. Now, in retrospect, she was absolutely right. My reaction was, NO, you don't understand, you don't KNOW these people, quite indignant (and spited myself) Should have hung in there with her. She was good.
Haven't heard of TEAs, sounds like something she is able to incorporate in her daily go, and is still effective for her in new situations. "Been there, done that, do this..." Intriguing title.
Recently heard of a new, to me, therapy called CDOI, cliented directed xx outcome, and a book "Whats Right with You". Another suggestion. Has a positive ring to it, I think.
Regarding books, I always check Amazon to see what the date of pub is, prefer older books, read the reviews, put it on my wishlist so I can consider it at another time since I am so impulsive. Saw something yesterday that you can Google, discount codes for Amazon and Barnes and Noble, would probably save a little more $. I always seem to hit books that are free 2 day shipping anyway. Very reliable, and come in a great cardboard container that makes the "return" if necessary very simnple. I figure that $3 return shiping is a deal if it pre;vents me from paying $ lots more to have a book I am not thrilled with. After all, Amazon has no store front to maintain, where I would have eliminated from the get go. But, really have had great luck with the books.
Also recommend, since you are currently motivated and read, some websites that offer free email newsletters, and are usually good food for thought. Please see the thread entitled ""The physical", something like that, by Skythia. I put some on there last night just to show folks. There are loads of articles, etc. to click over to, kind of addicting, but what else better to be hooked on, self-help.
Good luck to you !
