Sheesh ! Relentless
Does he yell yell, as in loud and intimidating? Because thats what he is doing, intimidating you.
Is the change or product really important to do immediately?
Do other team members jump when he barks?
I hate that term, team player. I think it comes from people who can't or won't do it themselves, and are trying to get others to take over more responsibility not by asking, but demanding, and creating a guilt trip, "aren't you a TEAM player?" He sounds like a dictator.
I don't think you should jump when he says jump, you're right. There's a more effective to get things done than intimidating others.
Don't answer his calls. Is there a way to block calls from him? Change your number, telling him, having problems with some crank calls, had to change my service. Forgot to tell you my new number. Contact me by email. Or, ignore all his calls.
How much are you getting paid for this job? I mean, better than you have ever made?
Don't quit, don't snap. Document, journal, frequently, "called me a total of xxx times on my day off." Take steps not to snap, that will end up causing you to feel bad, even tho you are right. You can win a battle, but lose the war :(
Backtracking, when you confronted the other person about what they "said" about wanting to get you fired, did you decide who was lying? Cuz like I said before, people at work are vicious, and sometimes pretend to be good guys when they are actually out to get your job.
He wanted you to drive for half hr to get toys? ones? what's that. Personal for him?
This sounds like a high pressure job, what is it exactly if you don't mind?
You could use this time to start preparing a killer resume and think of other places to go for a job. This clearly is a very difficult situation, and tho it might get better, it might not.
When he said he would tell on you to the district, is that true? Because don't they think he is an idiot? Can you re-butt to the district, simply stating I was unable to do xxx on my day off.
Good days give you happiness; bad days give you experiences; both are essential to life.
