Therapy is the way to go, then read to supplement therapy, and
follow your counselor's instructions and put them into practice. It is something that you will need to work on for some time, but it will get better, I should think, as time goes on.
It's certainly not one of the major problems of mental difficulties and one that you may be able to resolve with very happy endings in your social life.
