I had my cataract surgery yesterday. Today, my vision is perfect in that eye. It truly is an amazing procedure; I had and have no pain at all! One thing I thought was strange was that while I was given an anesthetic, I remained very awake throughout the entire operation. Fortunately, the cataract had blurred my vision in the bad eye so much that I could barely see anything coming at it.
Now that my right eye has been fixed, I suddenly realize that the vision in my left eye isn't as perfect as I had thought it was. I'm probably going to call tomorrow to schedule the surgery for that eye as well.
Oh, and I no longer have need for glasses. The implanted lens has corrected my far vision. Reading still requires magnifying glasses.
Finally, I have a question. This morning I noticed that my forehead, bridge of nose and cheekbones under both eyes are exuding oil or grease. I'm not sure if it is in reaction to the eye drops I am taking four times a day, or, perhaps, the tape I am using to secure the plastic bubble guard while I sleep. Has anyone any knowledge about this? I haven't had oily skin since my teenage days.
