One last winter blast (I hope)...

We are suppose to get one more nasty winter storm coming tonight and tomorrow.  I am not looking forward to it as I have appointments to go to.  So I have to get out in it.  I have an appointment today but I think that the weather is going to be okay for that.

How is your spring going so far weatherwise???  I would love to know.  It seems like I have heard of some peoples spring flowers popping up.  I still have too much snow.  But I know it is just around the corner now.

PS  I heard a robin and a red winged blackbird the other day.  The robin is what everybody waits for, but I go by the redwinged blackbird.  If we do get this storm, they are both too early.  lol...

we have had our robins for about 2-3 weeks now, lillies and other flowers are out and it looks like spring is on the way. Still not the best weather though, rain and clouds but hopefully that will change soon. Can't wait to get my garden in this year!

The grass is green (and has been cut already once), the daffodils are
in full bloom, and trees are in bloom, too, for the most part.

The temperature today was in the mid 70's. I love this kind of weather!
This time of spring and fall are my favorites.

Hope the snow where you are won't be deep and that you'll be able
to get out and enjoy it all if it can just remain gentle weather for you, Karen.

We're getting a whopper of a winter storm tonight through Wednesday evening. I've got to go to work early, so it will certainly be interesting. The storm is certainly going to affect the flood situation around here. I was just thinking to myself on the way home that I'm going to have to put the chest waders in the truck.

Jon, I am sorry about your floods. I hope it doesn't get too bad.

I hope we all have nice weather. I still can't picture it snowing, but it may. It has been thawing up until now. So far anyway. We are suppose to get it tonight too. Through tomorrow. I do have a doctor's appointment for a physical. I wonder if I will make it. I do have four wheel drive. So that helps.

Geosajda, You are fortunate to have such nice weather. I am happy for you. I love spring. After I get the yard cleaned up and when the flowers and trees are blooming.

We got hit good last night, about a foot of new snow. Boo Hoo!!! But it will melt soon I hope.

I am in North Carolina.  It is upper 60's, sunny, everything is blooming.  I want to start my garden as well, but you have to wait here because of the frost in April.  Karen, I know you probably do not like the snow because it sounds like you get alot of it.  We had 1 maybe 2 storms this year, probably did not get 6 inches between the two, but I love it when it snows. 

I am glad Spring is here, the more I am outside the better I feel.  I hope everyone is enjoying the weather, no matter where you are.

Summers can be pretty tough here, like in the upper 90's and the humidity is always very high.  Will be here before you can turn around! ha ha

Yesterday rain all day and this morning snow !

Jon, let's move south like the Padre Islands.

We had our first big snow storm around 11/13 and it has not stopped since.  What shall I do with my Easter Bonnet ?

Karen - foot of snow, the heavy wet stuff.  Cuddle up with a good book and just chill.  Guess you will chill for sure.

Wow!  Where are you?  I cannot image that much snow.  My husband is from Colarado, he says I would never survive in that kind of climate.  It sounds nice though when it is 100 degrees here.

LOL Kitt,

We got a foot in some places and about six inches in others, it drifted. My dog woke me up last night because it was thundering. Yes, it was thundering while it was snowing. Thundersnow I guess it is called. That isn't very often that it happens.

I had to go out in it today as I had a doctor's appointment. But I drove about 45mph with four wheel drive. I felt pretty safe as long as I went slow. But you could barely tell where the road was. It was a trip.

We have talked about moving to North Carolina before. I wish I could spend the winters there. And come back here for the summer. My first husband was from NC and his cousins still live there. They always are wanting us to move down there. I don't know if I could handle the spiders and snakes. That is why I like it where i am I guess. We have very few poisoness critters. I am in Michigan. The northern part of the lower penninsular. I love the different seasons here. And we did skate as far as winter was concerned, just about everything went south of us this year. But we got hit good this time.

Chicago has been a mixed bag lately. One day warm (60's) and sunny, the next day overcast and cold (30's). Forecast is saying maybe snow. Bah.
