nervous about new doc..

I go to the new doc in an hour and a half and I feel sick.

You will be okay, you are just nervous. Think of this as a new beginning. You are now on a healing journey. You will be fine.

I hope your appointment with the Dr. went well this morning. Or at the very least gave you something new to think about. Just thinking about you.

Hello,

The appointment went okay. I talked a bit and he and I made some kind of plan. I have to go back already on Monday though, and again on Friday. I suppose this is his way of keeping me out of the hospital...or something. He gave me Prozac, but I don't know much about it, so I am reluctant to take it. He also is retrieving my records from the inpatient hospital that I was in when I was 16-18 years old, which helps because I won't have to "re-explain" some things. I'm very nervous, and the thoughts are still here. Right after I left his office they were even more prominent, which scared me a bit, but they have died down since. I don't know, I'm just very confused right now... :( Your support helps a lot. Thank you.

Hi Tristan,

I know that you are kind of nervous about this, but know that you are on your journey to healing now. You will be able to have control of your life back. I am so happy for you. I would give the prozac a try and see how it goes. You can always stop it if it isn't for you. But remember it takes six to eight weeks to reach it's full potential. Though you can start to feel better before that.

I sure do hope that you feel better soon. Take care, and keep posting.

Tristan: I had similar fears of Prozac too, but it has made me feel so much better than I was before. My concentration is better and a lot of the thoughts I was having have gone away. At this point, you know you are not feeling well so I would definitely recommend giving it a try. As you will be seeing the doctor 2x in the next week you will have the support if you do not feel comfortable.

..And I think it is a great thing that he has already made 2 appointments for you. This looks like a step in the right direction.

Thank you. I feel like everything is just downspiraling. I don't know what to do now. I am going back to the doc on Monday and I'm going to tell him, but I am worried about the consequesnces of that. I just feel stuck. I know only I can help myself, and believe me, I'm trying...hard. I even tried to paint to get my mind off of everything. I don't want to sound like I am complaining. Sorry.

I am glad that you are seeing the doc on monday. Please let us know how it goes. I didn't know you painted. I do too. I use acrylics on canvas or anything I can paint on. I recently had a fire and lost all of my supplies. Hope to get more soon. I haven't painted in a few years. Have to be in the right mood. tell us about your art. What do you like to paint? I paint usually wolves, or tigers. They are my favorite.
