A while back I expressed my interest in substitute teaching to a couple of my teacher friends w/20 years experience. They were very snotty about
it. When I asked them what it takes then to be a good substitute they barely responded and said something about
grading papers. Anyway, I know I have to be self-confident and just go ahead and do it but I just can't figure it out. Why the snotty attitude? I'm in the counselor education program getting my masters, but I don't have a teaching background and want the experience. Anyone have any insight? These are women I considered to be really close friends and I was very hurt...
