Halloween turned out ok

 

Since Halloween was postponed in the town we were going to with our friends my son decided to just go out with his dad and met up with some kids in the neighborhood.  He has trouble making friends and since he goes to school out of district he doesn't have much of an opportunity to see kids in the neighborhood.  He was happy to meet some new kids that he had not met before so I was happy for him that he was running from house to house like a regular kid.  I stayed home handing out the candy.  It was fun to see all the kids dressed up.  Not a bad night after all.

Yaaaaahhhhh!!! I'm so happy to hear that cookie. Your son has been on my mind lately and I am so glad things worked out. Funny how God answers our prayers just when we think He is not listening at all!!

cookie, you are full of success. We all want the best for our children. I am smiling at the thought of your son running around. Last night we went to the mall first, but we were a little late so there wasn't much candy left. Then we went over to the church and had to stand in a loooonnnnnggggg line. We usually go to the houses in my sister's neighborhood and the children were looking at their bags in dismay because they didn't have much. We told them they should be grateful for anything because people were being nice to give them something. Well when we finally got to the lot with the candy, the bags started filling up and my son said "We hit the Jackpot" I was happy that he was happy. He isn't really expressive so when he shows happiness I relish in the moment.
Thanks for making me take time to notice the little things. I have been so consumed with sadness, that I need to try to focus on good things.

Thanks. I worry so much about him because he is very different from most kids his age. I have to let him find his way. Its hard when you love them so much and want them to be as successful as they can with the gifts god gives them and the difficulties.
