Got up early this morning. Five am... Don't know why. Having coffee and reading posts. The forum has been slow lately, but in my mind I say it is because people are less depressed. So that is okay. But I sure do miss everybody.

I hope all of you have a good day today. Let me know if there are any other early risers...

Karen what the heck are you doing up so early!!! It is nice and quiet at our house at this time so I enjoy it-catch up on forum, emails, a little prayer

Katie wrote along letter to me (wish of course made me cry) and then she made a pack of cars(like index) named "reasons to smile" which all have beautiful drawings on them

We are as young as we feel. I know with fibro it is hard. You do feel older, but you are young at heart. I hope this is a good day for you!!!

Oh Joyce eat your heart out hubby came home with a dozen glazed donuts-ate myself sick-lol

planning on reading a new book and a nap and they are fixing dinner so very nice day, calls from stepdaughter and grandaughter so very nice day

Hey all! Mags, Happy Belated Birthday! You're right, this IS your year!

It is cold around here this morning- 39ยบ! I ran out of food for Carter today so poor thing will have to wait till my lunch break to eat... I think he'll be ok.  Sometimes I worry he is cold at the house all day alone and can't tell me.

The ball was lots of fun! It was such a show and everyone was so nicely dressed.  I felt a little of out place without a mink coat and diamonds, but it didn't matter- overall I had so much fun!

Maybe everyone is less depressed.. maybe 2012 has started off really great for everyone.  I hope this is the case!

I have missed hearing from everyone... hope you're all ok.

Bean-mink and diamonds are sooo passe, darlin'-lol-too bad the weather was so cold for all the parades over weekend. Ours was yesterday about 50 and very windy so i had to stay home

I was at work today and some of the guys were glorifying cage fighting. I said to them to see someone get their head continually punched and smashed into the ground is truly disturbing. If someone did it on the street they would go to gaol. What message does this send to young men and woman. I have been to intensive care units and seen young men on life support with brain damage, once you have seen this you would never support these violent sports. You know there are some things in life I just dont understand, glorifying violence, it just is not acceptable. My thoughts are very strong, I have seen many victims, mostly with my job in the prison, it really is so sad to see people hurt so bad.

Wow Stephen, I can see where that would be disturbing. I don't like violent sports. My husband watches the cage fighting, but it is too much blood for me. I stay on the computer.

I think it is appalling too Stephen. I'm surprised it's legal.It just makes me think we are not as evolved as we think we are...don't we have enough violence in everyday life?

I like to watch football, and all the Olympics sports...they promote hsard work,pride, citizenship, honesty-all the GOOD qualities in us

I am going with Pat to doc tomorrow sice his illness is so complex and he is so scared(altho he won't say so)I have been trying to research treatments and all(I' really good at research and medicine) and I just got a headache trying to read all the articles. Please say a prayer for him

Completely random. I saw on you signature you're Moderator of depression and fibromyalgia. I don't believe in coincidences. I bring that up because earlier this year something really weird happened to me. My entire body, from head to toe, hurt. I couldn't move without being in pain. I went to the hospital several times and took several tests. Nothing abnormal, but fibromyalgia doesn't have a test. My doctor said it was possible, but wasn't looking into it because I don't fit the "age group" (21-30 something). It's better now to a certain extent. My left up thigh still hurt all the time and just below my shoulders and my sides alternate. Anyway, thought that was strange.

I knew a girl that had it when she was only 14, so there is no age limit on it. You could very well have it. And you are right, it doesn't show up on tests. You have to rule other things out. I hope that you don't have it, but it isn't really the worst thing that could happen. But the constant pain can get to you after awhile.

Cage fighting, isn't that just crazy. Do they really want to end up with chronic pain, traumatic brain injuries, end up in a coma, on light support, like these people are crazy. I have severe headaches every minute of every day and what i would give to not have a headache for a day. I did not ask for this, yet they are asking for major trouble doing this fighting. Absolutely crazy.

Maggie my prayers are with your hubby. I hope all goes well. Let us know. Yes you have a wonderful daughter. Cherish these special moments.

Jamie I am so sorry you are still suffering so terribly. I wish you could get just a little relief. Keep hanging in there buddy, I know that is difficult but I also know you are a fighter and you won't give up. Why is it that your meds are not helping you.
