Mornin" Joyce
yes, we keep alot of dried goods because of hurricane. Also a chest freezer with meat for go-coolers. Also a generator. During Katrina, we stayed at a local hotel which of course had no power and were able to feed alot of the elderly, I had boxed milk for the babies and of course we made a hotel urn of coffee every morning. It became the hub of all news. And that cup of coffee with neighbors made us feel human again. I had a woman run up to me in the store years later and said "You're the coffee lady@ You saved my life" lol
I now keep battery operated fans and a crank radio too. For any disaster, it is a good idea to have all your ids, bcs, deeds and insurance papers in a lock box, oh aND FAMILY PHOTOS.
It gives you a sense of security in a turbulent world.
Anyway, KK goes to orthodontist, hopefully braces come off soon and no $200 payment every month. Effexor is starting to work, with a few bumps in ther road, has not even been a month.
Ducks have a passel of babies and our cherry tomatoes are popping out everywhere. Katie was taken off all meds and she feels much better-I am so releived. She will still see a counselor and have psych test to cover our bases.
Have a good day everyone
Maggie
