Dear Karen and all

Just back from doc, ordered a chest x-ray for lungs and steroid shot for shoulder and go back in a week to read xray. She thinks it is muscle, not lung. Lord, I hope so. New doc and very down to earth, thorough and accessible. I lost faith in old gp, he has turned into a moneymaking machine, not focused.

So hopefully good news.

Make sure to let us know. I hope it is only a pulled muscle. I am glad that you got xrays. I hope that you feel better today. I know you have suffered with pain lately.

I'm glad you were comfortable enough to share here with us. When you are ready, please let us know a little more. We are here for you!

I have a lot to say, but none of which I think is extremely important. I will share my thoughts with my greatest friends, when & if I think it matters. It is just my silly thoughts.

Right now, I am more worried about Mags & Katie, and gma J. Of course, i care for all of you, but I know they are struggling.

Thankful for all of you.

If any of you have a second, please search "Mickey Shunick". She is a 22 year old woman who has been missing from Lafayette (2 hours from where I live; 2 hours from my home - New Orleans). My sister goes to ULL & cycling is popular there... I am so hopeful, but also realistic. I pray the family is comforted.

Sorry Jamie love, what is your next step, more laser and when? Will your sight improve? I am still praying for you. Love ya.

My fingers are still numb and still lotta pain but slept ok. Apparently shot may take a couple of days. Lets hope that's all it is. She told me to not lean on my elbow and lay my arm that way and it is more difficult to do than I thought-lol-especially on the computer. Katie is still sick w/ glands but antibiotics should start kicking in today.

Court-Yes I just read about Mickey yesterday and they found the bike. I hope they find those cars they are looking for. My prayers for her family.

I know my hubby and I have to stop smoking whether this turns out ok or not. I actually thought I would be one of those incredibly lucky people who could smoke all their lives and not suffer any real consequences. I hope God will give me this chance to try ot again.I would appreciate any prayers offered up. KK gets to go to her 1st gyno appt today-poor baby.

OK just getting coffee'd up AND smoking a cig. I am calling I-800-quitnow today for counseling and a quit date. This is a terrific place funded by legal settlement from tobacco cos. all meds, support, free!! Each state administers their own program. If you do want to quit, this is your place to go.OK end of lecture

Good Thursday morning...I guess...little 'grumpy' this morning...where's my coffee ??? Nice cool sunny morning today. I got up at my regular time (5:00 AM) but the French tennis match was boing - boing - boing again. Boy, I miss my 'silence' in the morning. Sooooo, I went back to bed and got another couple of hours sleep. Those 'bully' black birds are eating me out of house and home. I took the feeders down... but didn't want to discourage my 'favorites'.... so trying it again. Hope it's better today. Ooops forgot

Joyce-how goes it? Any progress? You have my empathy..we did several interventions in my family and I will tell you one thing the drunks that had support groups (AA, group therapy whatever) are way happier than those that did "dry drunks" . I never understood that term until my brother. But bottom linehe has to stop...you may want to consider detox at a hospital...for heavy drinkers, it can be the best shot.

Good morning everybody,

I am so happy to see this post active again, thank you Joyce, Courtney, Jamie and my Magpie. I hope KK gets through the gyno. This is the first year that I didn't have to have a pap test. Yay!!! Been many of them...

Courtney, thanks for the kind words. I hope you feel better soon. Joyce, yes, those blackbirds can be pigs and annoying. Jamie, I hope you can see better after treatments. We all love all of you guys, I hope I didn't miss anybody.

Good Friday morning... Lovely weather...in fact, slightly cool for a change. Last evening our TV weather channel had poor reporting.  It was really screwed up... even said there we were having a serious thunder storm with hail in our location on Wednesday evening (and this was on Thursday) All the other channels showed not a drop of rain in the whole state of Pennsylvania.  I'll never believe them again. Karen... how's the bathroom re-model going? Magpie... how's your 'quit' plan doing? Jamie... hope you're eyes are ok Courtney... thanks for good wishes... You're sounding good.  Oh, to be your age again! Cloud...hope you continue to post.  Wonderful friends here. My husband is still watching tennis at this hour.  Boing! CUL  ~ Joyce A thought for the day….     The trouble with bucket seats is that not everybody has the same size bucket.

Payday so I will be busy this am. I leaned over at my dishwasher yesterday and my back went-lol-much better today!

Bad t-storms overnite here-needed the rain though.

Not much to report-next week filled w/ doctors-yuck-will know more then. The steroid shot did not work very well.

That was cute Joyce, I like your thoughts of the day.

The bathroom is coming along. We just have to finish paneling two walls and put up some shelves. That will be nice when it is done. Oh and a towel rack has to go up. lol... It is like when the main stuff got done, the rest waits. I want him to be able to get the same type of panneling that he got last time. They gave him the wrong color sheets last time. Ours is rose and they gave a different color and it don't match. Oh well, he will get it straightened out.

It is raining here now. Hubby goes to the doctor today. Fun, fun, fun...

My girlfriend gave me three chamomile plants. I should of planted them yesterday. I put them in my window. They are pretty.

I hope you have a good day today Joyce and everybody else. I don't know how you can handle all the boinging.

Good Saturday morning.... Loud, noisy thunderstorms overnight like you, Mag... yes, we need the rain too.  (Reading your post reminds me... I need to empty my dishwasher) Karen, glad your bath fixer upper is coming along.  It's always those final details that take forever.  Do you like the new look? I don't know the chamomile plant My 'project' yesterday was to attack and trim back the bamboo.  Shouldn't have planted to begin with, but my husband wanted to block the view of a few houses and it was a gift from a friend. Yep the bath is coming along, yep, it is at a standstill I think. He hasn't done anything in a few days. Don't expect it this weekend either. Waiting for the towel rack to go up still. lol. But I love it though. It does look nice.

Hi ladies

Beautiful morning here-80 and low humidity...that will change but we enjoy it and open windows and save on a/c...big bridgefest here. Our 4 mile bridge vanished in Katrina and cut us off from the rest of the coast. SO WHEN IT WAS FINISHED, WE THREW A PARTY and it is nopw a huge celebration...hope Katie and friends go...too much walking for me and Pat.

Pat worked at Lowe's after the storm until his cancer stopped him. He was in there this am and 3 of the bosses asked if he would come back part time-this would be a godsend as we run short every month. Say a prayer please. We are excited.

I go for chest xray Monday am and also therapist and see doc to read xray on Wed....pretty darn scared.

OK but today is a glorious day so we will enjoy it -make hay while the sun shines, right?

I think my effexor is beginning to work, I feel hopeful again. Please sweet Lord let it be

I hope that Pat takes the job and you will have some extra money for bills. I know how hard it is to stretch, and you never know when something unexpected is going to come up, like I just had happen.

Your festival sounds marvelous. I hope KK and friends do go. Maybe you and Pat can go for a little while and see some sights.

I am glad you are having nice weather. It is cold and rainy here. Is going to be for a few days. I am sick of it, this is suppose to be spring and summer. Now it will probably get hot and I will complain about that. lol...

I am glad that the effexor is working for you. I took it for many years. Never had a problem with it as long as I took it when I was suppose to and didn't forget it. I took xr so that wouldn't be a problem. But when I took the pills, I had a few incidents where I forgot to take one. Boy did I ever know it then...

Keep us posted. Glad you are feeling better.

hey ladies

Knocked myself out last night w/ Klonopin and seroquel and a muscle relaxer-slept great-woke to a worl of pain..nerve pain from shoulder down...going back to bed. Pat thinks I am a drama queen-poop on him.

Should calm down after meds-hope y'all have a wonderful day...sorry to gripe like that.
