Hi everyone,
I don't really know where to start, I've suffered with depression since I was about
12. I've tried numerous tablets over the years.
I was off any meds for about
4 yrs, but I just kept getting worse, but I didnt really notice it at the time, until last year I was diagnosed with anorexia.
In February I ended up as an inpatient at a mental hospital and was put on 20mg of citalopram. I was an inpatient for a month, I found the citaloprams were working at first, until a few weeks ago.
I spoke to my GP and he put me upto 30mg, but I'm still not feeling any benefits.
I'm going round in circles with the mental health team, I haven't seen anyone since I came out of hospital,so I've kind of been trying to cope with everything by myself, which some days is really difficult.
My GP doesn't want to put me upto 40mg of citalopram because my weight is still fairly low and it could cause me more harm than good.
Is it worth me speaking to the GP about
going onto different meds or is it better to give them more time?
Thanks for reading my post
