I am so happy that the effexor is working. Sorry about the arm pain though. that must be tough. I hope that it goes away soon. Do you think it could be the fibroomyalgia?

Good luck with the urologist. Please do let us know the results from that.

It was so sweet of you to throw Chad a party. I bet that meant a lot to him. You have given him a family to love him. That is so sweet.

Having a yatd sale today and a tropical storm moved in, all roads are flooded and pat's signs to the sale are painted in latex-lol. I did sell 2 books for 50 cents-lol-PPAARRTTAAYY!!

Katie's boyfriend is staying in the guest room, which I had taken over when using cpap machine (too noisy for Pat) so I slep in our bed last night and I awoke to someone holding my hand-it felt so good to be with him again, and he even got a back scratch out of it.

Supposed to get 8 inches of rain today and tomorrow so I better go get bread and milk as our roads flood rather quickly.

Good Sunday morning... Quiet, cool start to the day.  A hot week expected. The only 'news' from me this morning is that our hometown horse won the Belmont Stakes horse race yesterday.  Union Rags is owned by the family of the artist, Andrew Wyeth and the stable is just a few miles away.  Exciting. Union Rags won yesterday? Cool!!! I was sad that horse couldn't win the triple crown. The one that they took out of the race, won Kentucky Derby and the Preakness.

Babies!!! Baby oil is made out of Babies... Didn't you know that Joyce??? LOL...

It looks to be a nice morning here. A lot of dew on the ground. I don't know what the weather is going to be, hot I think... The birds are chirping and the sun is coming up. What a beautiful time of day...

Good Monday morning...(not anxious to go to work) Hot one yesterday... supposed to cool off today, but more humid. Shortly the Men's final tennis match will be live on TV from France.  They got rained out in the middle of their match yesterday.  Boing...boing... Time to wake my husband. 'mornin Karen...

We TRY to keep busy at work.... but it's hard when all of our orders come in the fall. Just stock piling inventory in preparation. Today's project is to check Angels that were finished Friday for any imperfections

We used to design for various holidays...but have decided to concentrate on Christmas. Right now, a life size sleigh is in progress. Ugh, it's the hardest thing I've had to tackle in 38 years of business. Four pieces that will be put together by the customer after shipment is received. ~ Joyce

That is really interesting Joyce, do you do the horses to pull the sleigh? That would be hard. My husband use to make shadow figures. The last ones he did were really cool. Shadow wolves. I really like them. But we did lazy cats and I painted them. They were cats that hung around on a fence. I was looking at them the other day. I could touch them up and put them out on our little section of fence. That would be cute.

I hope that your day goes well. Looking forward to more "corn" tomorrow. lol...

Good Tuesday morning... Rain today?  Time will tell. Hey Karen,  I've always liked the shadow art figures. Get those kitties out there on the fence, they don't need to be touched up.  Sounds like it would be charming. No plans to do horses....altho I expect we'll get requests and also for reindeer. Project for today...bake a birthday cake for eldest granddaughter.  Sweet Sixteen...(Not looking forward to turning on the oven in this warm weather). Was not feeling well after someone was very ugly to me last week, but I am getting back on track. Got my bloodwork back-- vitamin B deficiency. Dr has called in a script so I'm really hoping it gets me to feeling better soon. I haven't been able to concentrate and hopefully this will help.

Not much to report other than that. I will check in soon :)

My computer died last week and all I have is my nook tablet right
now and its so hard typing with a stylus, we got computer prts on the way,

hey Y'all

Sorry-life is crazy around here-we had 7 inches of rain during our yard sale- boo hiss!! Then we had some serious teen drama, which has resolved very well. Katie saw her new counselor today (against her wishes) and likes her very much (told her so!!)

My shoulder is in deep doodoo. There are now 2 nerves being pinched and it is not tingling anymore, it feels like I stuck my finger in the light socket, but for minutes at a time, searing pain. 75% of day I am in some fairly high pain. They ordered a nerve conduction study for a WEEK away so I called doc and go in tomorrow...I want this puppy treated NOW!! I cannot brush my hair, hold a mug or do my bra.....sorry, I am just so tired of pain, effexor does seem to be helping at least. Katie and her boyfriend are so happy and my hubby and I both think very highly of him-wow, I guess we did do something right-lol!!

Karen, owe you an email, Joyce my dear hope cake and birthday were special, Court, UA, Chart and Jamie-my best to you all. Will let you know what happens.

Father's Day coming up-who's got any good ideas???

Hi everyone!

GmaJ, I always enjoy your "idle thoughts"... they make me wonder.

I took my new meds last night since it suggested I take them with a meal. I am to take one pill a week for four weeks and then one pill a month. I am contemplating keeping track of how many hours I sleep so that I can start determining if there is a pattern.

I hope that today is a new day for everyone. I am sending out "good computer vibes" as I don't know much about computers, but I hope they keep working well!

I think that hamburgers were invented in Hamburg Germany. Hence the name hamburger... lol... I think...

Now I know....

why a hamburger is called hamburger. In the early 18th century some Germans noticed during their travels to Asia, that the locals would stuff their beef between their saddles while they would ride, to help soften it for later consumption. The Germans loved the idea of soft seasoned meat, and so they brought the idea back home with them to Hamburg. As time went on, it soon became known as Hamburg Meat.
