(1) Did some online research and found an over the counter product several months ago that has 5 ingredients that eases tension and has a calming effect. I'm also taking an ultra potency supplement.
(2) When depression began in January, I almost never left apartment (I'm retired). Since early June, I'm out walking 3 - 4 hours a day. According to a pedometer, I doing between 6 - 8 miles a day. I need to lose 20 lbs and will accomplish this with walking and diet. Losing weight is making a differene on how I feel.
(3) I'm now eating healthy. No more unhealthy food deliveries from restaurants especially chinese. I'm now preparing meals with heavy emphasis on salads, fruits, vegetables and seafood.
(4) Will begin seeing a therapist on a weekly basis. I've already been to two intake sessions that was used to collect data.
When the depression began in early January, I did nothing to help myself until about 5 weeks ago. Life was beyond miserable. It still not great but better.
I visit two depression sites including this one and it helps. I don't post often but it helps to see that I'm not alone. I consider myself fortunate in that this began late in life. I'm also grateful that I'm not dealing with other issues such as financial and lack of insurance.
