Karen said you have mental illness, that is a LARGE scope if illness, from depression to bipolar etc... All is treatable and nothing to be upset about. STAY CALM. The stgyma attached to mental illness is worse than the disease!
You need to go talk to a doctor, your family doctor is a good start if you have one. IF not find a phsyciatrist. They will diagnos you and get you on meds to slow the thoughts down. I have this problem myself. You can see a list of my diagnosis at the end of my post.
You may what to find a therapist to talk to or find a group to join to talk about how you feel. The doctor can help you with this. It is nice to know that other people live life and have the same thoughts and feelings like you. They share ideas and how they handle the thoughts.
There are many coping skills, Dialectible Behavior therapy, Non-violent communication, Focusing, meditation, mindfulness and the list goes on.
