Marilyn,
So clinicians will use this diagnosis until they have a better understanding of their client and are able to clearly diagnosis the person.
Healthcare today requires diagnosis codes for "everything" could be a work around.
Are you seeing someone new or starting a new procedure or treatment?
Where did the diag. come from?

ok, so your arthritis doc knows you are depressed, but he can not diagnosis your depression. so that makes sense.
I have read, that arthritis has been linked to depression and improves as depression improves.
I feel you have a good doc, keeping track of all your conditions and how they effect your body! Good for you!
