Need a vacation from my vaction, Why?

So depressed since I got home from vacation. Does anyone else feel this way I live in VT and went to FL yucky weather here now

Hi Vtpunchbug,

I have heard of this happening before. People say sometimes you have to take a vacation from taking a vacation.

Try to hang in there, hopefully it will go away and things will get back to normal. Try to look at pics from the vacation and remember the fun you had.

Welcome to the forum. Do you usually suffer from depression, or is this a first?

Let yourself schedule some special outings. Maybe meet friends for dinner or movies or etc. falling back into your normal home routine can help, too.

I suppose it depends of the type of vacation you had in florida. Was it fun? Or did you work more than you played?

Find time for yourself now, doing things you enjoy and find peace in your daily life. This should help with the bad feelings.

I find that my depression is worse on the weekends. I think it is because I have no structure, no demands which allows me to wallow in my sadness. At work I have people and tasks to accomplish, and they have to be done. On my days off, it is easy to blow everything off and just lay around all day which is what I did this weekend.
