Day 12 of effexor feeling bad

Day 12...had to cut the dose in half at day four so I could function at work. Full 37.5 mgs knocked me unconscious. Still very very tired on 18.75 mgs and feel like my body is filled with lead. So difficult to get the most minute task done. I sleep all the time and today feel very depressed and hopeless.

Thank you so much for any insights or personal experience you may have.

Inever got sleepy off effexor, even at 375mg a day. Like JB1 said, it might not be the right medicatoin for you, but I would give it a couple more days. If the tiredness doesn't subside, I would call the doctor who prescribed it for you. There are so many others thta you could try and see if they work better.

Most likely not the one of the meds not for you. so sorry is is taking so long to find out. I hope you are keeping in touch with doctors office giving them ups, so they can change to something else ASAP.

I agree, sounds like your body doesn't like Effexor. I am taking 225mg now, but I never had any real side effects from it even when I first started taking it. I do feel kind of cruddy if I miss a dose though.
