Eight days after my first dose of Lamictal (25 mg) and I feel my depression lifting! I can't believe it! I've been in a black pit since July.

Feeling a bit loogy today. Not really sad or happy, blah I guess. I feel like sleeping all day, but I won't. I am going to go and cook myself some good food and then go to work. Yeah, tomorrow is Friday!

I have set myself a goal this weekend. Hopefully that will keep me from getting really down like I usually do. I am going to post my goal here so I am accountable.

I make and sell crafts, but I haven't been making anything lately. I sell in only 1 shop right now, but I want to branch out. My goal this weekend is to make a sample case which will show all of the different things that I make. Then next weekend I plan to drive around to different stores in the area and see if I can get some more business.

For me art is real therapy. Creating something gives me purpose and a reason to keep going.

Trina, dad is home now. However, he has to go back for tests later this month though.

I was on Abilify for several months and it seemed to make me gain a few pounds. Have you had that trouble? If not...I hope I haven't worried you. We all react uniquely to the same meds, don't we?

Jennifer...I understand PERFECTLY what you mean about wanting to sleep the day away because you are hurting emotionally or because you have no energy. Being creative is therapeutic for me, too, but I have to be able to see a little light from the (depression) pit to even THINK about being creative. But once I get started it helps so much.

Although my depression is lifting, I still feel flu-ish, chills, body aches, stomach upset, etc. Has anyone experienced this with Lamictal? Or maybe I actually have the flu!

Doing much better, thanks Karen.

I put on the B52s and rocked out while cooking a veggie stir fry. You can never remain depressed for long while listening to the B52s.

Had a pretty good day. Just waiting on Friday now.

Good morning all!

Yesterday I went home after work and got into bed immediately with a heating pad and cup of cocoa. Slept through the night. This morning I got up, felt good, got ready for work and was only at work about an hour before I started getting the same symptoms: Chills, body aches, icky yucky feeling. I have decided that it must be a reaction to the Lamictal and I am going to stop taking it.

Meet next week with my daughter and granddaughters for a short vacation, was so hoping I could be in a good place emotionally but I can't take these side effects.

I will rely on God instead.

I don't know where I add this to my profile or whatev but I deal with depression, anxiety, COD and eating disorder (12 years of recovery). I am so blessed in my life, you would think I could be grateful and happy.

There are 25 threads on a page. You can post whereever you want or even start a new thread.

To put in a signature, click on profile and scroll down to signature. Make sure you press submit after you put in your signature. You might have to cllick on "edit profile". I cant' remember.

very hot here. did my shopping, early. slept 2 and a half hours only. nocturnal urination was cruel and unyielding. the risperedone was helpful. albeit the above problems knocked it effects on the head, boo!! i think i need to see a urologist. will talk 2 my doctor. have a great day everyone.
