hey everyone!
Just would like to know if there's anyone out there that feels the same.
I've been experience low confidence since as far back as I remember. I've always seen that I wasn't pretty in the mirror but everyone told me I was apart from my ex bestfriend( I kinda half blame her). I was even told I could be a model by a few people. Which it so frustrating that I cant see it myself.
I was told if you think bad you see bad so I tryed to tell myself I was pretty its been years and I still cant see it , I still look in the mirror and see a big nose and a horrible smile. :(
But the strange thing is that when Im not looking in the mirror I dont feel I have a big nose bt when I am I do do feel I have a big nose. :/
All of this has escalated into depression, addiction and just really becoming to hate myself.
I've been trying affirmations like I love myself the whole time now and that still doesn't work.
Has anyone experienced this or experiencing this know anything I can do.

The tricky thing with this is that everybody finds different things attractive. There is no way to judge this. And just because you don't like something about yourself doesn't mean somebody else wont like that feature. The more you look at yourself in the mirror, the more you wont like yourself. So try not to let this bother you. Focus on other things that are more important. Things with substance in your life.

I am serious when I say everybody finds something different attractive about people. And beauty is really only skin deep. Being a nice person and having personality is what people are attracted to. Being smart. People are really into conversation. That is what you want to work on if attracting people is what you are in to. I am assuming that because you are talking about looks.

I hope that you learn to feel good about yourself and love yourself for who you are. Once you do that, you will get your self confidence back. We have to accept our flaws and not let them bother us. You probably don't have a big nose. But there are many attractive people who do. Learn to love you for who you are. Relax and enjoy the ride called "life"...

I have struggled with this most of my life. In my 20's and 30's, I refused to let people take my picture. Needless to say, I am not in any family photo's and it seems as though I wasn't even there. I seriously regret having done that to myself. In addition, now that I am older, I have no pictures of me from my youth. I was thin back then and from what pictures there are, I was pretty good looking. So, now I let people take my picture because 20 years from now I will be even older and less attractive.

Also, I had a friend when I was about 14 yrs. old and when I first met her, I thought to myself: "oh, she is not very pretty" After I got to know her better, I thought she was so beautiful and I couldn't understand when she would complain that the boys weren't attracted to her. Beauty comes from the inside - out.

Confused, you will not make progress unless you look past the "material" you and find the soul of you. Who you really are and get to know that person. It does not matter if you are purple with pink dots, if you are a good person, you are beautiful! You can feel it, then you will be it.
