I'm dealing with deprssn and take Lexapro. My mom passed away this past wknd and I'm trying to muddle through. Yes, I do have family. The mornings are Horrible. Any chatters on here?

Hey Farm Lady,

I am so sorry about your recent loss. Know that all of us care about you. I have to suggest grief counseling. It really helps with such a huge loss.

I am sorry for what you are going through. It is hard when you lose your mother. Keep posting, it helps to lighten the load. Know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Not too many people chat on here, a few might.

So sorry for you loss, Karen suggest grief counseling. A grief and loss support groups might be a good idea.

   The mornings sun here is very bright today ... hope you can find some brightness in your new day. We all need help at times. This is one of your times. Please seek at least grief counseling ... and a psychologist might be a good fit as well.

My deepest condlences on the loss of your Mom. My Mom's b-day was Monday and I lost her 23 years ago. I know that you feel a pain that you think will never ease-talking with a therapist will help.

I now get to remember all the things that my mom instilled in me, I see her in my daughter's eyes and remember all the good times.

Eventually, slowly, you will get there. Until that happens, you are in my prayers

To Gnme- a doggie drought??? Poor Gizz!

Today was very busy but worked out fine. I do my kidney U/S tomorrow and cystoscopy AND real eyeglasses next week too! Hope y'all had a good day. Karen-Jas is too funny. Our 13 yrold chihuahua/doxie mix, Sally has lost so many teeth on her left side that her tongue hangs out all the time. It is so funny and so sad at the same time. All soft food for her with a bunch of human treats thrown in. Such a sweet girl but sooo stinky and old! She is a trooper.

Hi everyone!

Checking in a little late today... It's been a busy one. My son passed his driving test came home dropped me and my husband off and was gone to pick up a friend. I'm not sure how to feel with my two babies being 16 and 17. It makes me sad. Just yesterday they were sitting in my lap. Now they won't fit!

Good day overall, went out to dinner with the hubby. Our son drove us and dropped us off. Raining and thundering now as we wind down for the night.

That is funny Mags about your older dog. I had one that lived to 14, I know how you feel about them.

I hope everybody has a good night. It was a nice day here today. Cold this morning though. I am glad it warmed up. Suppose to be warmer again next week.

What a crazy but good week.

Tuesday sat through 6 hours of orientation. Thousands of papers to read and some tests to take. I have my first client Thursday afternoon for 3 hours.

This afternoon I got a phone call from another place I put in a application online and they want to interview me on Friday Morning. This would be working with mentally and physically developed adults. This would be my dream job and if I was offered the job, I would take it in a heartbeat.

go for it lisa!!! sending many positive vibes your way. all the best. hi guys, many healing prayers to all. had a mental health day of sorts. sort of took it easy this afternoon especially. got woken up early as my neighbour was going up to the shops and i went too as i needed a few things. walked the furball had my sister come and my mate glen as well. was busy but i am chilling to some tunes at the moment. have had the tv off all day, just needed to get some quietness happening.

have the shrink tomorrow. my sis is driving me in, nice. will advise how it is going. i too am late in checking in as i have had the computer off all day as well. was a bit poorly earlier, was hungry but could not eat my lunch have a good day my hw buddies.

Bless Gizzy ..........

   He didn't wake me up until 6am this morning .. and then it was a gentle lick .. not pouncing on me! So ..... we tried a little earlier Doggie run - 7:00 to 7:30am! Not much luck ... just one dog and Giz didn't seem him. So much of the way back from Starbucks, he just howled ... for the heckuva it ... or maybe pleading for the dogs to come out. They didn't listen to him!!!

To Farm Lady ...... hope this morning is a little better for you.

To Mustang 229 ....... just think how old you'de feel if one of your kids was nearly 28 and the other one was 37? Yep ... it goes by too quick! Kinda cool though getting a ride to dinner from your son!

To NurseLisa ...... hope you get your dream job. When I watch the caregivers and the nurses at my Mothers Home for Dementia, there are some angels working there - don't know how they do it and keep their composure.

To getting by ........ hope your toe is better.

   For me, it's a blood draw in about 90-minutes ... that is either going to make tomorrow (when the results are in) either a real good day ... or a real bad day. In the  meantime, my beloved Chi-town Bears are playing tonight - should be a good night!!!!

It is a beautiful day here today. Yay!!!

The sun is shining and it isn't too hot. But it is suppose to get hot later on in the week. I love fall!!!

Good day all. Welcome back beagleman.

Weather is beautiful today here in Jersey and I am spending some time outside with the dogs.

Head pain is high, but trying hard to ignore it. Will force myself to go to support group tonight, has been a month since I have gone. To easy to fall into this trap of not continuing.

Thanks guys, I will let you know how it goes. I have a lot of patience and my parents say I don't get it from them! I used to work with special needs kids and loved it. I'm always the one in public talking to the ones with disabilities. Some people have a big heart for them and I am one of them.

me too lisa. i volunteered in an organization for 8 years teaching fine and gross motor skills to kids with disabilities. loved it. i also became a senior remedial gym coach, as we were known as remedial gym coaches, and i taught new coaches the art of remedial gym coaching and assessment. i was at university at the time doing a bachelor of applied science in disability studies but i became too unwell and had to leave the course after a deferment, maybe i will go back one day. i was part way through my second year.

i have done other volunteering and other studies as well. but that is for another time. i just thought i would share. hope you don't mind.

Good morning,

Jamie, I understand your disappointment in leaving your education, I was 6 mos away from being a recreational therapist for Alzheimers patients and I had to leave due to health.

I was in the section of eduction where internship 2000 hours a per term plus class was required. I could not do it. Perhaps someday I will complete it, it is still on my list too!

Lisa, I wish you the best of luck!

Karen, I have the afghan almost complete, connect 3 rows of blocks yesterday, just have to finish crocheting the connector pieces and I think I will put a backing on this one, it is kinda messy on the one side, so it will be more like a "throw". I'll send you a pic.

Morning all...

Lovely Friday here. Too bad there are pavers out in the parking lot today! I will have to close the windows soon. I need to go get meds this morning (grr stupid insurance changes) and then go to the gym.
