Let me tell you all somethiing. I think some of these docs have gone off the deep end and need counseling themselves. Enough is enough with the pills. You got an itch, take this pill, you got a rash, take this pill. Donno about you, but I am sick and tired of putting these pills into their perspective boxes every Subday night and the money; I coul have had a condo on the Hawaiian islands by now. I have thought about this for such a long time and now, at 1:30 in the AM, after taking all 13 pills including a sleeping pill, I am awake. How do we know which one isn;t battling the others? How do we know that we really need them? 
I feel very fortunate to have the best insurance with the best benefits with co-pays and in/out patient or I would be standing on the street holding a sign reading "I'll work for medications". It is very sad for the people who need them and can't afford them. This is a list of my meds and why THEY say I shuld take them:
Depakote, 3,000 mg s day for epilepsy
Prozac, 60 mgs twice a day depression
Xanax, 2 pills one in am one in pm, 1 mg each, anxiety
Clorazapate 2 daily in AM and PM, nerves
Nadalol, 40 mg a day for heart murmer and hypertension
Synthyroid, 0.75 mg, thyroid issues
Remaron, 60 mg twice a day, sleep and depression (am I asleep?)
Prilosec, acid reflux disease
Imitrex, 25 mg for migraines
Flonase as needed
Albuterol for asthma every day
Maxair for asthma as needed
Celebrex, KICKED IT OUT THE DOOR!
Hydrothyzichlroid, hypertension
15 meds, costing a lot of money with my co-pay.
Depakote is $50 a month
Initrex is $5 a pill in a 9 pak, $45
Flonase, $20 but costs $60 without ins
Synthyroid, $40 co-pay.
After all is said and done, I am blessed. I have a husband who cares for me, He has a great job with good medical and a good salary. We have a nice place to live, food on our table, clothes on our back and everything in our Townhome is paid for. We have a new SUV, 2 great dogs that are our babies so what the hell am I griping about? I'm not, but I know some of you are in hard times and always remember that I pray for you every day. God will provide and show us the way. You have to believe. It's that simple!
