The original prescriber of the the tramadol told me that he wasn't concerned about serotonin syndrome or the possible seizure danger because I was not taking a large dose and I new the signs of serotonin syndrome so he knew I would be aware and seek help immediately. My new psychiatrist, though, obviously knowing more about meds said he was concerned because meds could build up in my system.
MY concern was only that I suspected tramadol of making my depression worse. So we both agreed that I stop the tramadol.
I'm so glad I did, and also quit the Seroquel. I feel like a different person, so much better physically and mentally.
Of course it's all relative. What I consider feeling good is in comparison to feeling half dead. At least now I can think more clearly and get out and do some things to fight the depression.
My dear doggy, Nala, is asking for a walk now and I am SO glad I can actually go out and walk with her.
Thanks for your responses, Karen, it means a lot.
Hugs back, Lynda
