Welcome to the forum.
sounds like severe anxiety, why this time of year I can only guess. Could be trauma from childhood triggered from the birth of your child.
therapy may be a good idea to see what is causing the panic during your sleep. If you remember any of your dreams or nightmares, I would start a dream journal and write down everything you remember. Keep it by your bedside so you can write it immeadiately upon waking.
you will most likely get more responses, I know other members do have brain zaps.
