Being thankful...

Let's all take a moment here to be thankful at the start of this American holiday season. All youse 'furreigners', you can be thankful, too.

Even though we have medical conditions which make us mad, sad, unhappy, depressed, anxious, and sick, we can also be glad.

Hey, we are here, trying to get well. We are trying to trod the wellness path together.

Hey, we have roofs, clothes, and some food. We have loved ones, dogs, cats, family, friends.

Even though I turned my life upside down this past year, and forced myself to grow beyond my comfort zone, I am thankful for my partner, a warm bed, a turkey thawing, the great price on turkey breasts I found yesterday. I am thankful to be cooking, which I love. I am glad I will be able to see family this weekend.

I am thankful that my illnesses are being managed semi-effectively. I am thankful I have a part-time job which makes me feel good. I am thankful that I will have insurance in another month.

We can dwell on our losses and our sadnesses. Let's list the good stuff.

I am thankful for the roof over my head, my family and my dog... I am thankful for you all, who make my day complete... You all are the best!!!

I am thankful the weather is nice today and hope that it is nice tomorrow so I can see the grandkids.

I am thankful that the meds are finally working, gone anxiety and depression for the most part.

Thankful to see me smile again. Thankful for my best friend Denis and for my boyfriend.

For a part time job that I love. Thankful for Healing well, so many thanks to say, the best part is being able to be thankful.

I'm thankful for all my family and friends. I'm also thankful for finding my HW family. Life hasn't been very nice to me lately. But instead of wallowing in the negativity about each event, I'm learning to find the positive attributes and learn the lesson the event presents. I'm thankful that I'm on an upward journey today. Tomorrow may be a downward turn but I've learned to treasure the moments of this day. My life is so full of blessings!

To my HW family

My blessings are too numerous to list but here's a few

A healthy confident daughter who is working today and accepted to college. She has never been overly rebellious and she writes that I am her rock and inspiration. My cup runneth over!!

A husband who loves us deeply and protects us.

A lovely home and enuf $ to keep the wolf from the door.

An upward turn in my illness due to sheer will and stubbornness to make a better life (8 year battle) and meds.

Sally is free of pain, in the infinite light.

Having a mother and son that we met at the fair over for dinner. She is wheel-chair bound and he suffers from a traumatic brain injury, and my stepdaughter and her hubby.  Sharing the blessings makes them that much sweeter.
