For comparative purposes only:
I have been on Lexapro (generic) - 20mg for over 10-weeks now. It has helped me quite a lot in reducing emotional highs more than anything else. A psychologist suggested the type and dosage size after about our third session - and my primary doctor writes the prescriptions.
In my opinion, the best source type for talking thru problems are with a psychologist - but most cannot legally write a prescription. They do however have a better sense of what and how much to use than the typical primary doctor.
My side effects have been minimal ... but we all react differently to meds. Other meds and chemo I have been taking may very well have masked the side effects of the Lexapro.
I do recall occassional light dizziness - but I believe that was another issue - relative to my kidneys andd dehydration .... not the Lexapro.
Is there a chance there is any other med that you're taking that might be adding to the SE's from Lexapro?
When in doubt .... it's always best to talk to the doctor ... and a psychologist could be a good investment of time and money.
Best wishes
