My friend had her baby today. He's 13 weeks premature. They have flown him to little rock to the children's hospital. He weighs 2 lbs. She really needs your prayers and positive thoughts. She's heartbroken that she can't be there with him. She's in the hospital here.

Prayers for your friend, from a Grammy who loves little ones. Your post reminds me of little Josie Duggar (you can Google her name). This remark isn't to spark some debate about the Duggars and all their children, so please, to those who read, let's not do that to this poster. But it just so happens that Josie was born at 25 weeks and weighed one pound, six ounces and it was at Little Rock's Children's Hospital that she was cared for and thrived. She is now an active, normal three year old. Your friend's baby is at a great facility and I'll certainly pray for both your friend and her sweet little one.

The baby is off of the vent now. He is breathing mostly on his own. He's got a cpap to help with apnea. They did a scan of his brain and there were no signs of swelling or bleeding. He is eating well and so far isn't showing any digestion issues.

My friend was able to get down there today. She's camped out with him in nicu. She sent me some pictures. He is so tiny and frail looking. She says he's very active, moving his arms and legs around. She also said thank you for the prayers. He is her miracle baby. She has had so many problems just getting pregnant. Keep the prayers up. He's doing well now but he has a long road to go.

Stories like this give us all faith - despite the odds, life does demonstrate miracles from time to time. Thinking of that little one and family as he gets stronger!
