zoloft

hi all I was wondering if anyone else had side effects while taking zoloft.  I am currently taking 100mg and the only thing I've notice about it is the drowsiness and it seems my anxiety is worse when I'm taking zoloft.  I never really noticed it before but I know this morning I was feeling great in a good mood and walking around with a little bounce in my step and then within an hour or so after taking my med this morning I definately felt the drowsiness kick in and I feel anxious.  More so than I did this morning.  It could just all be in my head but I'm definately feeling the drowsiness that I do know.  I know I'm in a very restless mood today and just can't seem to sit still.  I"m like that a lot.  I'm a mover.  I like to keep moving.  I was just wondering if anyone else had side effects from zoloft.  I mean yea I can tell it does level out things but it kind of makes me feel numb like almost lathargic(sp??) does that sound weird.  I need something to pep me up and keep me going not slow me down even more so.  I am restless today though.  I feel like doing something active yet I'm stuck behind this dang computer until 4 this afternoon.  arrrgg that drives me nuts.  I have a dentist appointment I need to schedule but I'll be in the dentist chair for 90 minutes just the thought of having to lay there for 90 minutes I can't imagine.  so i keep putting it off.  I don't sit down at home for 90 minutes.  oh well I know I need to eventually make that appointment but I dread it.

It's my son on Zoloft, not me, but his adverse symptoms are insomnia and restless leg and limb syndrome. I wondered too if it causes him to be more depressed and anxious. We're looking to switch to something else. Stay in tune with your body while taking this. It'll tell you.

the thing is i'm drowsy all the time whether i'm on zoloft or not. I haven't gained weight with the zoloft in fact i've lost weight. I don't feel like this is the right med for me but I don't want to be bouncing around from meds and doses and what not and take the risk of gaining weight and other concerns. I guess i'll talk to my psych doctor tomorrow when I see him. We may need to up it a bit more who knows. I just don't want to be putting my body through half a dozen different meds to find the right one. I can deal with drowziness. It does help me sleep at night I'm so tired by 8:30 or 9:00 i usually don't have trouble falling asleep its staying asleep that I have problems with. My anxiety is a bit better these days. I better go.
