my deepest of condolences missjd. many healing prayers i send.

i have the doc in the morning awaiting some blood and urine results, plus for the doc to look at a nasty itchy thing i have going on. sleep is still haphazard at best. arthritis is playing up also. booo. i hope everyone is well. i send healing prayers to you all.

Good morning .......

   The freezer is back! One source says 5 degrees out and the other says 1 degree out ... at 8am! No dogs being walked out there this morning when Gizzy and I were out! One weather dork last night even said it was going to be down to -7 degrees overnight!

   Oh dear .... and my daughter is returning to Chicago from Austin tonight! Welcome back!!!!!!!!

   HOLLYBG ....... welcome to the "dailies"!

   MissJD ....... sorry for your families loss!

   Chart ....... doctors, doctors, doctors - sometimes so tiring!

   Karen ....... I'm afraid to hear how cold it is by you!

   JB1 ........ the name I couldn't remember yesterday was Eleanor Parker - and the movie was "The Very Thought of You" with Dennis Morgan and Dane Clark (not Dana Andrews). I just thought she was a very pretty woman ... and nominated twice (I think) for an academy award.

   Notes: I haven't seen my primary doctor since early December - and my Pulmonary doctor since about August. Sometimes ... you just get sick of doctors! My Oncologist, Urologist and the Ambulatory department of the hospital keep me busy though! Complaint of the Day!!!!!!

Rob, It was a huge -25 this morning. It is now up to -15. So it is warming up. The truck started this morning, yay!!!

We have a small leak in a pipe in the well pit that will be fixed today I hope. It is always something...

I can't wait to get my pink topaz. That is all I can think about. I am trying not to bid on any others...

I hope that everybody has a good day today and that all weather gets better.

Just dug out the cars. 5 inches overnight and more on the way. Everything is closed, as usual. It is light, fluffy snow, with ice underneath. We are hovering around 25 degrees.

Sorry about the loss of auntie, MissJD. She had a good, long life.

Thanks for the idea, Rob. BF is interested in hypnosis, for a lot of things. His current therapist is also a hypnotherapist.

Chart, I am so sorry to hear of the current difficulties. No muscle relaxers is mean.

Jamie, good luck with the doc.

Holly, spring has to be near, right?

Karen, this is no weather for a broken pipe!

Went to church yesterday, and we heard about Krishna. We went for Indian food after, in celebration of hindu. My sister was a hindi-practitioner, so it always makes me think of her. I remember when she used to chant and light incense when I was 5 or so. She continued this all her life. She was very spiritual.

Today is hot tea, and a practice test. When I started studying for the English cert. test, I was surprised by how easy it was, at least for me. I guess those degrees in a related field helped for this.
And BEEF, it's what's for dinner.

Week three on wellbutrin in addition to effexor. Sleep has leveled off, the dryness is somewhat better, and the brain/eye weirdness is also lessening.

I agree I need to talk to bf about this. It is making me very upset.

I am sorry about your aunt MIssJD... I forgot to mention that in my last post. Know she is in a good place now... But she will be missed...

It has warmed up to 13... Suppose to get in the 30's later on in the week. Maybe there is an end in sight...

Pipes are getting fixed now...

Myself, sounds like you are getting hit with snow and what not. I hope it ends soon. If it isn't one thing, it is another. Or if it isn't one place, it is another...

thank you every one for the messages. She was my great great aunt. She had a fab life and was the sweetest thing around. She went not only in her sleep but in her own home and she loved it to the end. She is with the mama and daddy and sister now. Bless her.

Karen- Hope all the pipes stay in working order now. I think you all are getting the Snow from our Rain clouds.

Rob- I only visit my pdoc and counselor on regular basis. I do not like to see my regular doc, he is a sweetheart but not fond of the whole wait forever thing in the clinic.

Jamie- I hope all is well with you and all went well with your doc. rest and take it slow my friend.

Myself- I hope that eveerything works out for you. Talking is always the best way to figure it out and take the next step the right way.

A/V- I hope you are feeling better my dear friend.

JB- Vacations are always nice and you will get all refreshed and things will be better when you come back to your home. Have fun and relax.

Char- I am sorry that things are not going well, take it all slow and things will get better soon.

Holly- Welcome and I understand about not eating well, the thing that I try to remember is that even if it crackers and water my body is getting what it needs, never over do it. You know your body and its limits. Things will get better soon.

Well I went and paid all of the bills today. We are all caught up and at a zero balance all around!!!! YAY
I did get pissy with my landlords for not coming and fixing my 1/2 bath potty and that lit a fire to have them coming @ 9am tomorrow morning to fix it! I was so angry when I left their place that I was shaking. I have a cardio apt Friday and I need an xray this week as my leg is still hurting a month or so after my fall in the garage. My doc is worried that i may have chipped the bone and it may need to be wraped up for 6 weeks or so to push that bone in place. I took my morning meds late! yikes i rarely ever do that and I was wondering why I felt off today. LOL. Just got done watching Bates Motel and now i am waiting on The Following to come on and then I am going to bed. Tomorrow is SUPERNATURAL Tuesday!!!!!

i hope ya foot is ok. sounds painful. i got my itchy thing that is in a bad place somewhat sorted. the doc took a sample to send away, he is worried it xould have been a bug i picked up from the hospital. the nurse has it covered with some strong anti-septic and i am on some strong anti-biotics as well.

the neck thing, well the doc i feel is right. this problem only begun after surgery, thus with being cut open it has and is pulling my neck down as the sternum refuses. i just have to take it easy. he doesn't want me lashing out on a expensive pillow when this is going to pass. i cancelled a heart appt today. made an appointment for my therapist and walked buttons around the park today. it is a warm muggy day.

my results, blood and urine, thyroid were all good. my vitamin d levels were low and thus he has recommended i recommence taking some oral supplements. i am also awaiting for a spot to become available for a six week exercise / nutrition / diet program with the local community health centre. it is primarily for people who have had heart surgery. i told my doc and he was very pleased. he said i look good and am doing well. it was good to hear.

i go back to see him thursday regarding this itchy bug thing. hopefully results will be back. i am also going to do a testosterone level check this week. i feel that my levels are very low. will advise. take care guys.

Good morning ....

   It was 16 degrees out at 8am ... a little warmer than lately. We just had a dusting of snow overnight. Now ... that's the kind of snow I like to see at this point of Winter. It was maybe 1/4" of new snow - just enough to make everything look fresh, clean and snow white! And very little wind too!

   Gizmo is starting to tease me now. I take him out the back (or garage/house) door every morning. He'll come within 3 or 4-feet of me at the back door. I'll reach out with the leash to fasten it. Then .... he runs into the other room - and barks at me. He'll return to the Kitchen - but stay about 10-feet away from me ... and start howling to tease me.

   He won't come to me until I say "bye" and open the rear door like I'm going out alone ... then he comes flying to me so i can put his leash on - little stinker! Yep .... I guess Winter's really getting to him too.

   At least he saw two dogs out today on our ride!

   Karen ........ golly .... you're getting warm up there! I'm wondering if the daffodils are going to take this year off from blooming - or even from coming out of the ground? Oh yeah - did you see the "Bates Motel" last night? First episode - season two!

   Jasmine ........ be a good girl! Don't do the things Gizmo is starting to do!

   MissJD ....... Did you see the 1/2-hour talk show later last night about the "Bates Motel"? I never would have guessed the actor playing Norman was British - from Cambridge!

   Happy Turtle ....... Glad to see that you're trying to get into an organized excercise program - and into types of food for your own benefit.

   Myself ........ it sounds like you've got a very positive attitude toward the current studying and the approaching certification test.

Note: Gizmo actually is doggy hugging regularily now! Back in December, when some things were pretty dark for me with one daughter - and I almost lost Giz to that kidney infection ...... I tried getting him to hug me. Now - he usually wakes me up each morning with a doggy hug and sometimes just does it for??? It's so hard to stay mad at him - even after he's destroyed something by chewing!!!

Have a good day .... only about 17-days left before real Spring!

Rob, Jasmine was doing that this morning on her chain. She gets within a few feet of you, then picks the chain up in her mouth and prances around. On very cold days, it stuck to her lip. She teases us like that. Little stinker.

I did watch Bate's last night, it was good. Didn't know Norman was Brittish though. Interesting. I Like that show... I was going between that and Swamp People... I like that one too...

Trina, I hope that you are having a good day too. I am watching the birds, then going to take a shower.

Hey, chawl.

Another day off school. Rats. The good thing is that all of these will be made up, since we are now 6 days over the snow day limit. It was not snow but ice today. We are hovering in the upper teens today. Brrrr.

I am taking my old beat-up car (which I love--Her name is Olivia) to be inspected today. Think positive thoughts, everyone. Maryland is a hard state with inspections. They only do it once for the duration of the ownership of the vehicle. They do emissions every other year, but a full inspection is only once. Luckily, I have a mechanic nearby I trust.

So, with any luck, I will be able to get her transferred from Virginia to Maryland by the end of the week.

The decent and focused feelings on Wellbutrin continue. I see my PCP tomorrow, to sign a pain med contract and respond to other tests.

I have a contract for my pain medications too. In fact I am suppose to bring them in every time to be checked, but I forget... They have never checked them only once when I was switching to something stronger, I had to bring in the old medication and turn it in. Only because I had a lot of it. I wonder what they did with it???

I am glad you are getting your car taken care of. I hope she passes inspection. I am not familiar with this, but I haven't moved to another state either. I really hope that it goes well.

My first therapy appointment is today. I did see her a couple times a couple years ago and really liked her. Now that I have insurance I plan on going regularly. I am slowly retraining myself to take one day at a time. It is almost 20 degrees here but snowing yet again. I am so over winter. It has been too bitterly cold and way too much snow.

-sigh- Olivia will cost 1500 to fix to pass inspection. Maryland state is tough, tough, tough. I do trust the mechanic I have up here, and he does a great job. But still, it is a lot of money for a girl who is so broke, for a car that might not be worth the price.

No can do, sadly. Subbing pays peanuts. I am sending out applications to try to get better paying work while I get the teaching certifications. Let's just say that a car payment would tip the balance to the ridiculous.

On the plus side--I scored quite well on the diagnostic English test I took yesterday, to see what I needed to focus on while studying. A good enough score to certify now, oddly enough. The next few days I am focusing note cards. Memorization. Vocab.

Tomorrow I am headed up to that acre you referenced. We *might* have a late start, due to all the black ice.

-sigh- All I really want out of life is enough money to live comfortably. I don't need luxuries; I am what they call low-maintenance (at least in life, emotionally is another story.)

Many Many Thanks everyone!

Just having a harder time of it. Eye's started acting up (pain) as if on cue, I have an eye doctor's appointment on the 17th...way to go eye's...

Had the emg testing today. He did tell me I have carpel tunnel in both hands. Then he said the doctor would tell me the rest next week...So I'll know what else is going on next week, he'll review the 2009 emg and then see if it's worse I think...

Now I just need a decent night's sleep...

It was good to reconnect with the therapist today. I am feeling hopeful that it is what I need. Time for the healing to begin. She gave me some "homework" to journal three positive things a day. I have started a journal a few times but never seem to stick to it. I am going to push myself to at least do the three positives. The eating is getting a little better every day. The energy returning is taking longer than I'd like. SIGH

Hello all,

Well what a day. My friend and I worked it out. My landlord is an *** and my potty still doesnt work. My son is being a real butt and I have had it! I am watching Sheild agents of Marvel. Then its supernatural! Yay..Rob- I didnt see the after show. I never would have thought he was British either. Hmmm I was actually waiting for The Following to come on during the after show.

Karen- I hope you enjoy your pink jewel when it gets there.

Jamie- I am glad that things are lining up for you. Exercise is key to recovery for sure. Slow and steady hun.

Holly- Journaling helps velieve me, wrote down my thoughts and feelibgs everyday and that really helped me to sort everything out and look at my thought patterns clearly.

KMF- Good luck and have fun.

Char- Carpel tunnel is easily fixed, my mom had the surgery and was fine in a week or so. I am sorry that the eyes are a bad I hope that it all gets better soon.

Myself- I understand about not making much but you may have to get another car I know it seems bad but it may be for the best in the end. Hope all goes the way it should and you are safe in every way.

Sun is out today and actually feel warm. Goose and I went to the vet for his monthly shot for his addisons disease, and stopped to get donut holes for the staff. They are so nice and this time of year no one really does anything for anyone.

I believe we will all take a trip to the dog park today and get properly muddy! the dogs will love it and they need a bath anyway. I have the energy today so I might as well use it.

More snow this coming weekend, I love it! I have been feeding the deer some, had 11 in the side yard for lunch yesterday, they were eating my mountain laurel, boxwood and what was left the ivy under the snow. They are such beautiful animals.

GIZMO HAS A GIRLFRIEND!

   Yep .... the little yellow Lab in the neighborhood! Last November, the last time I saw grass around here, Gizzy met and played with two neighborhood dogs - had a great time!

   Well, this morning, after we got back from our ride - and seeing a big German Shepard ... I took Giz down the driveway toward a bank of snow. He sensed something! I thought - Coyote??? So we went the other direction to higher ground - so i could see what was on the bicycle path below.

   Sure enough - it was one of my neighbors with her undersized but very friendly Lab. Gizzy went nuts - jumping and barking ... so the neighbor brought her Lab up the hill - and Giz started going down the hill.

   After a 10-minute highly active play session, we both took our dogs home. They were so good together .... wish I had a video! Gonna have to do that again, but with my video camera - this Spring ... should Spring come this year! 

   It was 20 degrees this morning which is at my borderline comfort level - so it was not bad at all. We had 2" to 3" of snow overnight - again! The roads were dangerous. I heard from O'Hare to downtown (about 15-miles) was a 2-hour and 32-minute drive down the expressway! (why dothey call them expressways?)! Soooooo thankful I don't have to deal with that kind of traffic - at least anymore!

   Last night, the weatherman skull said that before the overnight snow we just had, there have been 44-recorded snowfalls so far this winter here - and 24 is normal. Our total snowfall thru 3/3/14 has been 73.5" of snow this season - which did break the old record of just over 72"! Normal is about 35" of snow per winter.

   MissJD ..... as much of a fan as I am with Supernatural, some of their episodes the last two years haven't been so great - like last nights! I wonder if they shouldn't have ended the series when the "angels" fell from heaven~!!!!

   Holly ..... it sounds like journaling "3 positives daily" is a great idea for starting a good habit.

   Chart ..... why would a doctor put you on hold for a week - about telling you something else?

   Myself ..... as i recall you have a Civic! I had a '75 civic long ago. They are good cars but ... is it even worth the $1500. repair? Tough decision!

   Karen ..... I hope you're getting some of this more normal weather now - and with no more problems with frozen water pipes/pump!

   UA ..... ah-ha! I did look up "Carnival in Trinidad and Tobago" yesterday. Hmmm! I would guess that any local seamstress's really don't have much to do around Carnival time. Such little pieces of material! Although, the sequence business seems to be pretty good!!! The tassels seem to be pretty poular too!

   It's always good to have a little laugh in the middle of the week!

It's another ugly day in these parts .... hope yours has some sun!
