Good afternoon/evening .....
The Oncology day went well today. It always ends up being a total of a 4-hour session. The Oncologist was pleased with the minimal increase of side effects, so he did authorize my 8th session on this chemo for this morning/afternoon.
I had the blood tests. They process the CBC portion of the tests there on site, so I had those results in 10-minutes. They were good ... much better than 2-weeks ago ... and no procrit shot needed today. The WBC count was very good at 9.4 (white blood cell count - for infection fighting)! The chemo tears apart the WBC normally.
After that, it was the chemo injection or infusion with the IV thru my port. It gives me time for some reading. My reading today was starting a book on "What's after Hormone Therapy?". NO .... I'm not a masochist!!! Just like to keep informed - should have read this book two years ago - but it didn't exist yet at that time. Things move fast in treatment types.
Enough of that stuff. Should have more info in a day or two.
Michele ..... never heard that analogy of the airplane oxygen!!! Don't you dare feel guilty. It won't be too long now ... that you'll discover an even more new you ... no need to worry - but it will come in time! Your daughter is 18. It may be a few years yet, but the time will come that you'll sit back and watch your daughter .... and it will hit you - OMG she's a lady! She's making her own decisions .. and they're better! Some of them are really good! THEN - look in the mirror - and be proud!!!! You did your job well as a parent.
AV ....... don't beat yourself up over your continuing feelings with your husband/ex to be. In time, they will fade into a part of your past life. I hope you can salvage some good memories of those good times with him - even if there weren't many of them. It did help you to become part of who you are now - and who you may become ... if your memory can hold onto some of the good or better times with him. You understand the bad times with him. Try to let those go! You'll be happier for it too - in time.
UA ...... Ok - so your 22 ... not 21! Now who's the smart-ass? - (just kidding)!!! By the way - I stand corrected with what i said a few days ago about the seamstresses not having any work - when the Carnival is going on. At a few thousand for some of those scanty little outfits, do the seamstreesses in Trinidad drive Ferraris? The Ferrari 430 is an absolutely lovely machine. Are there any available seamstresses that you know of????
Karen ....... I think you said earlier that it was a 5x3mm. Yep - that is a little guy. On a small scale ring for a young lady, it could be very pretty though. Again, check into the Lab-created gemstones. I have one emerald, one ruby and one zandrite (color changing stone) ... and each of them were just under $30. and they were between 3 to 6 carats each. The zandrite is short for Alexandrite, a true gemstone that changes color under lighting conditions. It's a huge 12mm diameter - almost 1/2" and justy under 6-carats! These could be very cool Christmas presents for 2014 for young ladies ... or one of them for you too!!! Have fun!!!
Sure is nice getting dark a little later! Have a nice day or evening.
