Daily Check In Thread For All!!! #74

Hello everyone,

Well havent been here since Saturday. So here's the news.

Had some self loathe stuff, on the verge of tears crud and tons of anger going on. I started my exercise routine Sunday. 5 mins on the treadmill and did 12 mins today. I will be staying at 10-12 mins a day as my hips hurt a lot when I was done.

I go see my pdoc tomorrow. I am going to let him know that everything has been good and fairly stable as of late. I am on my monthly roller coaster. Yay for that! NOT.

I see that A/V is back. How are you feeling my dear?

Jamie- Hows the chest hun?

Karen- I am sorry your pink stone wasnt what u wanted it to be.

Rob- I am glad your feeling better, kisses to you and Gizzy both.

JB- Dont go back to your old doc, he gave you so much trouble. I hope you can find someone soon though. Stay strong.

HollyBG - Hi, I'm Nighting Gale - Read you started back on Abilify. I'm on it and have been for six years. I like it - think it works. Today mine was increased as I had a bit of a relapse because I worked and didn't handle it. I take it for psychosis and depression. Hope you find it works - Nighting Gale

Rob, you make me laugh. Lol. You're looking for a Trini seamstress? Lol.
I don't know what the seamstress drives but I know the costumes designers drives Range Rover's, Prado's and CRV's. A co-worker showed me a pic of her nephew who played Carnival. He wore a very simply outfit-short pants and beaded stuff on his waist, necklace, wristband, head piece. He paid a little less than $6000 for that simply outfit. Imagine what the ones with more decorations will cost.
Anyways, I'm glad things went well at the Oncologist yesterday. Glad the blood cells count was good.

MissJD: I'm doing okay for now. Thanks for asking . Hope your app with the psychiatrist goes well today. I glad you got some exercise. I have to start but I guess I'm just lazy.

Michele: Hope you had a good mani/pedi. You deserved a treat!

AV: Hope you will feel better. I think you derserve some 'you time'. Sometimes, we take care of everyone and neglect our self. As Michele said, you got to put yourself first.

JB: I'm sorry for how you're feeling lately. Hang in there. We're here for you. Hope you'll feel better soon.

Jamie: Glad you got some rest.

Kate: I'm glad you hang and didn't fall apart. Keep up the good work. Being mindful is hard sometimes but it really does help.

Good morning ...........

   Another normal day in Obama-burbs! (no disrepect intended - can't help it he was from Chicago)

   It was 38 degrees at 7am but gloomy .... still much better than most of the days since late November. It was too early for the two neighborhood dogs to be out - but we did see two little ankle-nippers near the middle school on our drive. Gizzy sounded a little viscious with his barking - hmmm!

   As the snow piles are receeding, they're being replaced by light ice covered mud ... but that's the cycle here.

   Just discovered ..... why Gizzy was just so quiet - except for the sound of something being cracked. I thought it might have been one of my "Ice Mountain" water bottles .... but it was my old plastic-covered wood architects scale. It went thru tons of work in my past - and was still in nice shape .... but now it's garbage. Hate to replace it with one of those Office Max cheapo plastic scales for $8.00! Maybe I should rename him ... Gizzy The Destroyer! S**t!!!

   UA ..... Well you didn't deny you were 22! And it isn't so much the seamstress. It is the Ferrari!!! The 430 (model) is such an orgasmic design ... and you have to be a exotic car fanatic to understand that description. I do have two 430's but they're not in my garage. Their both in my Dining Room curio cabinet ... one red street model and one black racing model!

   $6000. for a simple outfit??? How about an old Ferrari in nice shape - for a simple old man??? A CRV is nice, can't place a Prado and the Range Rover Evoque is cool ... just can't afford one! Actually, I'm not in the market for a car .... or a seamstress! You see - my ex was a good seamstress - and like Streisand said ... "memories"!!!

   Happy Turtle ....... sleep .... that is a word that usually seemed to be a dirty 5-letter word in the past! Hope that's totally in the past!!! Sleep sure does feel good - doesn't it?

   MissJD ....... sorry to hear you're going thru some things - especially right after a good family-type of week-end! You might want to re-think your thoughts about menopause - but I'm hardly an expert on that! All I intimately know about is "hot flashes" - even had one last night after the chemo. And shouldn't they call it "womenopause" or maybe even more correctly "personopause"? Glad to hear about the excercise start. I need that badly myself!

   JB1 ...... sorry about the anxiety. My psychologist recommended the medication and my primary wrote the prescription for it. Is that possible for you to expedite the new med - whatever it might be?

   Kate ..... thanks for your thoughts about the rest of the lab reports. There's only (usually) one report that can be filled with anxiety waiting - for an Advanced Prostate Cancer patient ... and that's the PSA reading! I should have it this afternoon or tomorrow at the latest .... "pins and needles" is the best description for waiting!

   Karen ...... your idea about the old ring sounds great. I would guess the two small diamonds are round - and the pink topaz is oval.

   If you didn't watch "Bates Motel" last night, it was good. The two who play Norman and Norma are both very good actors. Norma really impresses me with her acting and last night, she was really playing the piano - and she has a nice singing voice - and accapella too. Norman couldn't be better as a very young Anthony Perkins - looking forward to seeing how he develops that character past his current 17-years old.

   I should be able to take a few photos late today of some green gemstones and will e-mail them to you by tomorrow morning or sooner.      

   Hope everyone has a good day ..... got some bills to pay and get out. Got to get to the tax assessors office both for me and my deceased Mother. And groceries are getting really shy around the house!

Nothing going on here today. Washing my comforter and sheets and cleaning my bathroom. Sounds exciting doesn't it? Yup! I'm having a wild spring break! Lol

Landscapers are supposed to come today or tomorrow to weed my flower beds and put in fresh mulch. My front yard looks like crap! But it won't for much longer!

Welcome!!! I am glad you found us. There are absolutely wonderful people here. They have supported me 100% through my down times. I have depression and I am going through a divorce. Never easy but the support has been incredible!!!

JB, go back to the old doc for a medication change. I know what it is like to have someone prescribing at random, but it will take you a lot of time to get in with the new insurance's doctors. FWIW, my experience under ACA is that insurance companies are overwhelmed. Once you find someone you would prefer, then you can switch. Is your old doc covered under your new insurance?

UA-thanks for thinking about me!! Been a little overwhelmed, and perhaps not as verbal as I might prefer.

MissJD-Keep up the exercise! I picked up the habit after the fibro diagnosis in 2007, and love my workouts.

Look at Michelle spring-breaking. And Karen with her bird feeders. I miss my bird feeders.

Things are quiet. Have a full week subbing. Got a call from the tutoring company asking me to pick up an assignment. They need my background check, as per state law. I have one done in October, but of course I cannot find it. It makes me think I tossed it after I got it, since they send copies to the state Board of Ed.

Finally completely memorized Bloom's Taxonomy of Learning Domains. I had been working on the memorization for a while, and it isn't complete until I can write it independently the next day. -Whew- I have several stacks of note cards I review daily, and have to admit things are sinking in. Fibro-fog and memorizing things do not mix well.

I forgot to add earlier, back going through a flare. Went biking on Sunday, and now my back has been hurting since. I have IBD-linked arthrtis there. Sitting still for subbing is awful. PCP changed me over to Oxy from hydrocodone (basically same drug except hydrocodone has tylenol in it). I only use it at night, but it hasn't touched my backpain yet! Ack!!

Man, chronic pain is NO FRICKIN' fun. My back is a new-ish thing, rheumie dx-ed (as much as he can) a year and a half ago. Now it seems it flares for no reason.

I am fond of Bloom's. Not sure how much I would use it in High School, but I do notice every middle school I am in uses it daily. I have yet to see a high school apply it.

And, I have to say I agree with you. Special Ed Math is not the time to be trotting out the big cognitive guns.

Myself, that backpain is hard to handle. I've got scoliosis and arthritis. That pain can be almost debilitating. I hope you find something that helps.

JB, its kind of hit and miss findung what works. I hope you hit on the right one this time.

I'm having a bad day. The divorce has me really down. On some days I just can't see where anything will improve. It seems to be a pattern in my life that people I care for just can't be emotionally available for me. I feel really alone and being sick has just really brought that out. I had one visitor the whole time I was in the hospital. That while I have over 20 relatives that all live within 30 minutes of me. I've always made sure to help them whenever they need help. I'm just disappointed in everything right now. I'm going to be a cat lady. I love my cats and they can provide the company I need between the kids visits.

I was totally abandon by my mom. I'm her only child and I have her only grandchildren and she chose not to be a part of our lives for the last 2 1/2 years. We didn't fight..we didn't disagree...she just left with no word.

I really think that was a high point of my depression . I thought she didn't live me. I wasn't lovable. Who would leave their only child- I must be a horrible person. I've spent two years in therapy working though this.

And two weeks ago, she shows up out of the blue. I love you, i miss you, I'm so sorry.

AV- too, little and too freaking late.

I've learned I don't need people like her in my life..she sucks the life and emotions out of me. Don't waste time dealing with these people?

I told her lady week gang I want nothing to do with her. I've learned it's not about me at all- it's about her and her and her insecurities.

Don't spend time on your so called blood family. We have to learn that true family consists of the people that support us. My husband didn't support me- so he's out of my life.

We have to learn not to give and give with nothing in return. It's hard because we aren't wired this way. We have to rewire ourselves to not have toxic people in our lives.

We will be so much stronger!

g'day all. seen my therapist, good session. have been out and about. just catching up on e-mails, hw etc. going to lay down for a bit. silly me left my wallet in my sisters bag. i had way too many coins in it and i was wearing tracky dacks thus i gave my sis my wallet so my paints wouldn't end up around my ankles!!!! i will pick it up sooner or later.
