Hi Karen,

Yes, Got two grabs of sleep - one three hours the other two and a half. Feel much better and not so anxious. The GP didn't give me anything for sleep. It is 3 am and I feel quite rested but will go back to bed to see if I can get some more.

That's great Gale!
Get as much rest as you can. How about practice again whenever you can't sleep ? I think it's great to feel that you're the one who's producing that wonderful melody throughout the whole house hehe.

Hi Karen and Joanne,

I have tried melatonin and it didn't seem to do anything. haven't read any books on sleep hygiene - will do. Will also speak to my psychiatrist about sleep again. He did mention going to a sleep lab at one point.

Don't know about playing the guitar Joanne - not sure the neighbors would appreciate that. It is so silent out here in the country but the neighbors are quite close. Thanks for the suggestion.

How are you both. I'm trying a new thing. When I wake at night I don't get out of bed. It is hard because I feel compelled to get up. But I am awake less and feel better in the morning. Still sleeping in 2 hour grabs but am awake less. So hopefully you won't hear from me at night very often.

A friend of mine takes serepax to sleep. I looked it up and it seems to have contra indications with Abilify. Do you know anything about it?

It's 6:15 am here - I think I'll go for a walk.

Hi Karen and Joanne,

I had a good 3 hour sleep. My daughter lives an hour and a half away. Every 2nd week end I pick her up and bring her home to me for three nights. She really enjoys this. The other week I go and visit her at her house. She sometimes thinks I'm taking her home which must be disappointing for her.

Good to hear the snow is melting Karen. Hope you get your walks in soon.

Had a great time with my daughter. She stayed up all day and was just beaming with smiles. She said Ma Ma a couple of times.

Planning to do a lesson in beaded jewelry this week I hope. Would be good to have a hobby.

I am so happy you had such a nice time... How old is your daughter?

I hope you are getting sleep now, but I imagine you keep waking up. I wish I had some advice for that. I got up early, about 5:30 am. I have been going back to bed the last couple of days until about 10:00, it has helped with the way I feel. I am still tired but better.

So you must be heading into winter there. Do you get cold winters? I have heard some places in the south get snow. It is hard to imagine Australia getting snow.

My daughter is 28. She has severe intellectual and physical disability. Sorry you thought she was a baby Joanne - she does feed like one. She says Ma Ma and that is all. She is a beautiful person. Very determined, content, patient. She keeps herself busy by fiddling around with little toys. She loves music and water.

Yes, we are moving into winter. I live in the northern part of Australia so winter isn't much. It only snows on a couple of southern mountains in Australia.

I'm giving up worrying about sleep as long as I feel alright the next day. It helps forcing myself to stay in bed although sometimes I get up. Can't help it.

A woman's voice woke me up the other morning. It felt like there was someone in the room. No One was there. I've heard voices like that before. Guess I'll have to talk to my psychiatrist. I haven't told him of the voices because I have always thought they were spirits. Don't schizophrenics ( of which I am classified, along with psychosis, depression and anxiety) hear voices in their head? - Not outside like someone talking to them.

just saying hi gale. me & sleep. expletive. only prob with me is i have to get out of the bed otherwise it would become very wet and quickly. bloody nocturia. still up all night. oh well. yeah sleep hygiene is good. same time to bed, same routine, etc. i would but because of panic attacks i get freaked out to fall asleep, thus i have the hall-way light on and the tv on in the lounge. it gives me comfort. i feel like a big baby, but this is the way it is. i am hoping that we all get some zzzzz's relief and soon. be good.

it is joanne!!! and it has been around the forum and in my life for a long time now. i really enjoy being a happy turtle. swim in the water, sleep safely in my shell, am protected and i can find many a safe spot to be in. also i like to have a munch along the way. what more can you want!!! no rent free tucker, good protection and a little stroll along the way. no rushing about like a blue ass fly now. 'slow and steady wins the race' see ya later.
