It was nice at the park today. The kids had a blast. It was very casual and laid back. He's bern a single parent since his son was a baby so we have had some similar experiences. Did you guys know I could be funny? I had almost forgotten.

Rob- I hope you get your ac going. We only use swamp coolers here and I wishwe had an ac, but thank the lord we have the swamps. I am going to tty and go back in September but my money has to change for that to happen. I miss it tho. I am not sure I could date again. Too much trouble. Stay kool Rob.

UA- Thank you. I was surprised that I was able to do it so quickly. I hope things go better at work, sounds like people need to be let go at your job for late show, no show and not doing work. Stay strong and no need to be sorry for expressing yourself.

CheLel- I hope your lunch was good and the company was better. I think dating is hard for anyone but someone with depression its even harder so take your time and date no long term have fun and stay free. Stay safe as always.

AV- Start as friends and if it turns into motr then thats okay and if it doesnt thrn that is okay too.

I have been so sore all day! I cleaned and moved things in my room last night and my body was rather unhappy with me today. My shower felt awesome and cooler me right off too. I am trying to get my son to go to sleep, he is gonna make me lose my temper and I have been doing my best not too I really have I go to Welfare tomorrow to get it all worked out and will sign up for the "welfare to work" program they offer to help me find a job asap. I am hoping to ho back to school in Sep but not sure at this point. Well stay well my friends.

I am behind again too Jessica. So don't feel bad. When I get overwhelmed or behind, I just say "HELLO TO ALL"... That works for me...

It is suppose to be hot here today. And muggy. Thank God for air conditioning. Just made blueberry pancakes for breakfast. YUM!!!

Jessica, we get cheese burgers with nothing on them, then we put mayo, Vidalia onions and tomato on them. They are good... I am going to cook some on the grill too. That is why I like burger king... Char broiled...

Just popping in to say that this thread is going by really fast. I am happy to see everybody posting... We need this I think.

Going to be a scorcher today and humid. But I think it is going to rain tonight and tomorrow and then cool down again. Glad it hasn't been too hot here, but it has been hot enough.

Just short walks today Rob... My walking partner (not Jasmine) has to work this week so she can't walk with me. But Jasmine and I still go.

I am glad it is over for you. Did you get your purse? Did you leave it in the car or at the doctor's? At least you remained calm. That is hard to do.

Hope that the day gets better. Do something to take your mind off of the biopsy that happened. Phew, it is over!!!

It's my second biopsy of the same parts. I always tense up, and then hurt worse. I really hope they got enough to sample, because I do not want to go through that again.

I left my purse at home. I had my computer bag, gym bag, library bag, and lunch bag, because i wasn't planning on coming home. Well, that plan is shot. I had to come get it, because the main library has a parking garage.

I am going to lie down for a little, read, and then try the trip again.

Wait a few minutes Michelle. it will change!

JessicaD: Even though you're not sure how you pulled yourself out of it, I'm so glad that you did, especially in 15-20 minutes that was a good thing. My session didn't go well but that was mainly my fault. I'm sorry you were sore all day but it's good that your shower felt awesome and cooled you off. We all have times when we try no to lose our temper with our kids, you are not alone. I've heard good things about the welfare to work program and I've heard they find jobs rather quickly. So good luck with that appointment tomorrow and thinking about going back to school.

Karen: Those pancakes sounds delicious. I hope you have a good walk and a good day.

Rob: So you were chilly last night, that was a good thing, yes it's always good to have options. I'm not sure if my outlook has improved much on things but I am trying and sometimes trying to make new connections even online ones can be helpful. I was really "afraid" of the daily thread because I felt like maybe I'm too depressed and got too much going on to post in it but I wanted to challenge myself to at least try because everyone seems so nice.

Myself: Sending hugs to you for your appointment this morning. I've had a few biopsies on the same lady parts and you're right it does hurt worse when you tense up, but I'm glad you made it through it okay and are going to lay down for a little while. I hope you have a relaxing remainder of the day and get all your plans done.

CheleL: I'm sorry that everything has been bad or gone wrong this morning. I know that feeling and I also hope you don't have a crappy day. I'm hoping that things will turn around for you, I'm hopeful that they will and the fact that you're already trying to turn things around speaks volumes and you can definitely make it happen.


My session didn't go too well yesterday. Before my therapist came I was reading over my mail and had a letter from another hospital about a medical issue I've totally ignored and didn't go back for and it's been 13 months so that kind of brought me to tears. So when she came and wanted to start talking about the things I'm supposed to be working on for Thursdays scheduled surgery. I was just really distraught and kinda crying uncontrollably and just kept throwing out my excuses and more excuses on top of that. I showed her the letter from the hospital and she was telling me that's something that also needs to be addressed very soon and that didn't help. Then I went into I don't care mode and don't want to deal with anything and kinda feel like giving up. I was a little mean, she called me out for trying to do or say something to get her to leave so we don't don't have to deal with my medical issues. She says I'm not use to being taken care of or cared about so I think I don't deserve it and I don't want to take care of myself. She said she's not giving up on me even though I'm trying to give up on myself and that we're still going to work on this. She's supposed to call or come out today. I'm not sure what will happen. Then about an hour ago one of my daughters friends called & asked if she can come to her birthday party/sleepover on tomorrow but it's over Thursday afternoon. I would let her go if I were home but not to stay for a few days because I don't know this Mom, so I feel bad and guilty if she would have to miss it because of me. So that's just another excuse to add to my list, I don't want my problems or issues to affect her in a negative way, I try so hard to prevent that. So I'm feeling really overwhelmed right now, kinda trying to stop the tears. I'm sorry if I kinda let anyone down with how my session went or how I'm feeling right now. So I'm just waiting on the call or visit from the therapist not sure what will be done or said or worked on today but I really want to be a little more open to it, I want really hard to try.

I'm sending hugs out to anyone who needs them today.

   It's soooo nice 'n cool in the house! Got to go to the grocery store and hardware store in a few minutes - but otherwise, it's inside for me today!

   Karen - I totally agree.

   HFO - if your session went really well ..... you might not need a session! And you can always make-up the missed sleep-over with your daughter in some other way with this other girl.

   Roadblocks are always a part of life. They can become serious if you allow it - but they don't have to be. You have a current priority - and it should remain as your priority - with a careful explanation to your daughter. Everything should be fine then.

   AV - this is not a good post-date text. Maybe he had a reason to get drunk (although not likely)! But - why did he get you involved with it? Are you Ms. listener? Whatever his reason - it doesn't make any sense for him to be leaning on your shoulder so quickly!

   Is his life that terrible .... or does he just handle life poorly? Do you want to add complications to your life? Silly question!

   You do need to get out. It is possible to have a male friend without being a potential bed-partner - I think. What about any of the Mothers of the school kids your kids know?

   I think Teddy Roosevelt once said "walk softly but carry a big stick" - or something like that relating to caution. Bad quote! Sorry! You get the picture though.

   Myself 09 ....... I cannot relate to what you said - exactly! BUT .... I did 10-years ago have a mega-biopsy while in stirrups (not nice or pretty). And while I was awake thru it all, I was on a stream of morphine thru an IV hearing all of these little sounds like staplers going off in my prostate. A truly memorable experience!!!!!

   Did you at least get a popsycle? I didn't!!!!

Rob, SOOO happy for you and Gizmo about having AC! And, Rob, good news about your PSA being lower than you had expected.

HeartfeltOne, keep posting as often as you want. Everybody's here for you--to give you support and encouragement prior to, during, and after your surgery!

Karen and Leslie, thanks for sharing about your pooches--and to Rob on another thread. I figure being spoiled is fine as long as they know right from wrong--kinda like human kiddos. :)

Karen, interesting about catnip for mosquitos--and the concoction you used. We have plenty of catnip--it grows like crazy. Also have two citronella plants, but I need to move them from inside to outdoors!

New guy update! He found out his son's mother died in a car accident. He got very drunk and said he texted me because he knew I'd listen. Heading want to talk about it last night, though.

AV... Be careful with this relationship. If he drinks when things go wrong, he might not be the one for you right now... Keep your eyes open and your radar on with this situation. I am sorry for his loss though.

Rob- you suck- 75 really?? Need a roommate?? I can live with those temps. Between humidity, 90 degree days and menopause, I'm one HOT mama!!!!

I tried to give my grocery list to three different people and no one would take it :(. So Steven and I are starving! Maybe today.....
