Afternoon, kids and kittens.

No word yet from the middle school. I left the house, went and did a few more job applications, then popped over to the gym. I had to get out. I am still sure the interview went well, but they might have decided I was too overqualified, or that my style might not suit. Or they didn't want to pay for the piled higher and deeper.

However, got a call for an interview for another school district, in Arts Administration. Bonus, pays double. Deficit, is an hour and half drive with mad-crazy traffic. I would take public transportation, but still a twelve hour day. We would have to move, but with that kinda money, we could.

So, I am still anxious and still unemployed.

The ballgame's simply going into the next inning...

IF, repeat IF one door closes, you've already walked through another one that offers plenty of hinge, I mean fringe bennies!!!!!

So, what'll you do when BOTH of them come-a-callin' ? :)

Still nothing. Today I need to start prepping for the next job. I need to look over the state's curriculum and policies and form an opinion. Next target, Wednesday morning. If I leave here at 7:30, I ought to be able to get there by 10.

Hey Rob! It's right next to Redskins Stadium!

I do have to buy a real suit, tho. That's a drag. I have been able to avoid the business wear for some time, because I am in theatre and thus am expected to dress in a quirky way. I am really not a suit kinda girl, but this is an uniform type of job.

To get there from home, it's a bus, train, metro/subwy, bus. But it is do-able by public transportation.

Myself, it sounds like you are moving forward. That is awesome. I guess we do what we got to do to get the job done. Suits. Been an awful long time for me. Like NEVER... But it could be fun. Pretend you are dressing up... As a business woman... lol... I hope that the day goes well for you...

I hope that everything works out just the way you want it to!!!

Myself - just a tid bit... my partner is a teacher and decided to move districts this year, from one of the worst to the very best district. She interviewed and I knew she was the best candidate, but then she didn't hear anything for almost 3 weeks. She killed herself during those 3 weeks - anxious, depressed, doubting herself... then they called and she got the job! Then she found out later that she was their top pick, but schools have to wait on "numbers" and budgets so they had to wait to call her.

So maybe it's just the bureaucracy holding things up?? Think positive!

You got that right Myself. You probably missed Aubrey's post because you posted almost at the same time. She has a point, it might take a little while to hear from them. I have a feeling things are going to work out great!!!

They said by Thursday, and summer hours are Mon-Thurs. This principal is rather resolute and definitive.

But, tis true Aubrey! Thanks for the thought. I had to wonder if this was a money hold-up, which it usually is in these cases. I would be difficult to classify. And, the money people often have odd discussions, the larger the bureaucracy.

I am intrigued by the new job, despite the length of commute.
