Anti-depressants & add on drugs

Honestly Hawk there is more than one out there which will work but the pain in the butt side of it all is you just don't know until you try. Are you from the UK Hawk? Maybe ask your doctor for Cymbalta but I am aware that you have to have insurance in some countries and I heard Cymbalta can be pricey?

I have been on so many SSRI's now and had to wait at least 4 weeks mostly 6 to see if they would work and two of them did but then stopped.

I feel out of it again today and struggling to keep calm, I took 1/2 a 0.5 Clonzepam just to see if it helps. I owe it to myself to get through this so I can sit in front of other people with the same issues and tell them everything it will be okay.

Sorry you're not feeling well today, I always felt so much worse in the mornings, much better at night for some reason.

Just goes to show you that there are bad days in there, I've been fine since last fall and then had those 2 bad days, now am fine again thank God :)

Hawk, I was on a lot of other AD's before going on Wellbutrin and this one has been the best for me, it is trial and error unfortunately but what a difference when the right med is found.

I've been on Paxil, Zoloft, Lithium (sent me crazy!) Lexapro, can't even remember the others.

Both take really good care of yourselves, plenty of rest, eat well...it all matters :)

Last two days I have felt like crap but I had the same earlier on in the week where I felt crap after a couple of good days but that is going to happen isnt it while the tablets are finding the right level in my brain?

I have a gig tomorrow so I pray I feel good for that and then I have a two week period without a gig so that gives the tablets plenty of time to find their level. Its just the depersonlisation I am finding it very hard to deal with because it can really make you feel like you are losing your mind or touch with the world.

I didnt have the anxiety to start with on these tablets but about 9 days into taking 120 mg that has seemed to kick in and its confused me a bit.

My daughter has some, a Koy (sp) fish on her wrist and a dream catcher on her back, covers most of her upper back and actually looks really nice!

I'm sorry you felt out of it & was struggling to keep calm earlier today & I'm hoping you're feeling a little better.

I'm hoping that your struggle with the depersonalization gets a little better I know it must be hard to feel like you're losing touch with the world.

Your tattoo sounds very cool, I like that quote! I know it looks great!

I'm so excited that you have another gig tomorrow. I know you do such a wonderful job when you do your gigs and I'm always so proud of you for making it through your gigs. That's a sign of strength because you make it through and do a good job no matter how you're feeling. That's great! You said you wouldn't say you're strong but I think you are sometimes other see things in us that we cannot see in ourselves, I don't really see myself as strong either I guess I see my weakness & mistakes more than anything else.

Being able to make it through your gigs and even sitting down for a tattoo while you're struggling with so many different emotions, shows that you're strong! It also takes a lot of strength to want to be here and not want to give up because you don't want to hurt your parents and the people you love around you! That's a great attitude to have!

Hey HFO so good to hear from you and that you are home, how are you feeling today?, the tattoo actually took my mind off things a bit weirdly as it gave me something to focus on. Its hard with depersonlisation as you just feel so weird and disconnected from your own thoughts but I have had a few days without it since starting these tablets and I have only been on highest dose for 12 days now so hopefully it will get better. I keep getting butterflies in my stomach every morning when I wake up so I usually take a Clonzepam 0.5 mg and that settles it down.

Well, phooey. I guess the story was posted close to 20 hours ago and has dropped off the front page now. Oh wello!

It sounds like you need to keep your mind busy Sean. You always feel less spaced out when you got something going. Maybe you should start a project or something to do in between gigs. Do you work a job other than the gigs? Maybe a part time job to keep you busy.

A busy mind is a happy mind. Or is that busy hands???
