Just started Lexapro, help!!!

Have just started Lexapro. I am new to the group and not sure if there is a current thread about this med or if anyone else is starting or taking this med. Help 😳

Hello Leebee49.I have been on Lexapro for exactly 6 weeks today and, it took 4 weeks for it to kick in.I felt better last week than this week but i will give it a chance.I will meet my family doc tomorrow and see what he thinks.Hang in there and good luck.

fantastic med. i have been on the med merry go round for many years. this has been the best for depression and anxiety. i find it works well with the lamictal i am taking also. give it a chance. healing thoughts. welcome leebee.

HELLO GROUP. i am so glad to have found this group. okay i was on 100mg of luvox for ocd anxiety and depression and doc switched me to 10mg of lexapro because luvox was too rough... i started lexapro 11 days ago... the first week on 5mg was good i was satisfied only a little tired.. now I'm on day 4 of 10mg and i am irritable and short tempered... please tell me this will pass but please be honest too.. i mean i want to give the 10mg more time.. also i have had like 3 very minor nosebleeds in the morning.. i had them on luvox too.. every time i upped the dose i would get a nosebleed for like 2 days.. i think its just rising serotonin levels.. I'm not as worried about that.. but is it normal to be more irritable at first?? please help with suggestions.. thanks in advance.
