lost 2 family members over in nz. well, last week or so uncle dick's ticker went, about a few days later, his wife, in a nursing home with dementia went a few days later. sad, but she wanted with him. the ultimate love story i reckon. turtle was bummed, but okay. i don't remember dick, but my aunty came over a bit, she was down to earth. rip uncle dick (richard) and aunty frank (frances)

yes, I take vitamin D but asthma and pain can both make anyone tired so that is that

Get to see more friends in the summer at our outdoor pool. I have three medical appointment this week.

Am tired of them to say the least.

Thoughts for you turtle. Sounds like a terrible situation.

Rainy and foggy here--but not cold. My trick toe is aching. We are making plans for the end of the week--Inauguration Day and the day after. We are likely going to do a long bike ride Friday. Bought sign-making supplies. Thought about knitting a hat, but decided I would rather get one made by someone else at the March.

Sad today.

Not feeling it today - can we just cancel the day and start over tomorrow? Even tried to go back to sleep a couple of times in hopes that in waking up again I'd feel differently. Not happening. Ugh.

Today has officially been cancelled for lack of interest and low turnout.

We will officially start again tomorrow sharply at 8 a.m.

Please wear proper attire and have all of your equipment. If you can't show up, please have a good excuse, hopefully from your doctor or guardian or significant other, will be acceptable.

We cannot and will not continue to accept this kind of behavior, due to circumstances beyond our control and other reasons too lengthy to mention.

Rain hats will be required in case of inclement weather.

Attitudinal qualities always taken into consideration, except on Wednesdays, late Thursday afternoons and on days when there is a ballgame.

Please feel free to contact me except when I am asleep.

Otherwise, bug off, baby!!!

Thanks Karen--It will be interesting. I am soliciting slogan suggestions on FB. There are too many good ones--I have 3-4 in the running.

Heading out in a bit to the gym. I cannot justify staying in, and know I will feel better later.

well I do have gout but it has not damaged my big toe yet. am taking the medicine and will get the test on thursday

I HATE to see my regular doctor tomorrow as they are the COMPLETE PITS and don't know what they are doing.

But must get my high blood pressure meds taken care of so have to go for that reason.

Hi ya'all,

Work is busy as hell, deadlines galore. Not sure what things will look like in March, but for the next six weeks or so, we have lots of stuff to do.

@M09, I'll wear a kitty hat in solidarity with you. I have SO many slogan ideas, but will forbear in the interest of propriety.

My water heater was replaced today, as was my bank balance. I now have hot water and no money. And I had to shower at work today. Ewwww.

@Joan, gout? OWWWWWWCCCHHH! Allopurinol will be your new best friend. I can honestly say there is no pain like gout pain.

@TimTam - digging the humour. smile

Truck is finally out of the shop with new caliper and new brake lines. Only got charged for the caliper! Yay!

Feeling a bit stressed out over how divided people are lately. Only thing I'm going to say is...I'm taking an internet break.

So, if you don't see me for a bit...I'm good...just need to minimize stressful things. My body (excema) is telling me I'm under too much just now. Thanks for understanding.

Joan, to bad about your gout, however at least there is not damage yet! Good news!

Myself, I and so proud that you are doing the DC march, I could not even make the prayer service last night due to fear of crowds and sleep depravation. Feeling useless.

Pitmom glad your truck is back. Tough without a vehicle. Unplugging is good for us. We do it on a regular basis. I am off more often now that I am reading books again.

Whew - sun's out today and it's really a miracle how it lifts one's mood! Very grateful to have a better day. Realized that part of yesterday's low may have been because I donated blood Monday afternoon. Anyway, glad things are better today.

Of course, I'm trying to cover yesterday's To-Do list as well as today's To-Do list, both in the same day. We'll see how far I get.

The sun finally popped out here today too. It was foggy and cloudy all day. I am so happy to see it. You are right Lynnwood, it does lift the mood.

The Great Doctor cancelled on me and she has always done this...oh so I cancelled back and going to a new place.

This place is the pits and maybe the new place is better. I am so very tired of dealing with these doctors. All they are good at is billing.

Well I did a lot of work for the local NOW (National Organization for Women) but these young female "medical providers" are HORRIBLE.

Thank goodness I have a great podiatrist (female) and wonderful Ortho PA who is also disabled physically. Just have to see the primary care doctor for my hbp meds.

been at risk a couple of days. ph off, etc. people are busy these days, am alone here. went to the chemist yesterday, and muttered i don't want to be here anymore. sis is depressed as well. the 3 passings this year has got me, it has triggered other stuff. as a family we are all here, but so distant.

I am sorry Jamie, I know you lost a lot this year. Often it happens in 3's. I don't know why. Do you have people you can talk to? Therapist or crisis center? You need that...

I hope things get better for you mate. Keep us posted and keep hanging in there.

o grieving is very hard, me mate

where is the PA grandma?

super stressed with the medical scene here

am starting to "lose it" with doctors

just can't get used to the backward ideas since I am from Brooklyn, New York...but need to "hang in there"

things can always get worse, I guess

just reading or staring at the wall helps
escape or better yet "zone out"
