You really should talk to your doctor and find out what medication they are going to start you on. Combinations usually come a little later.

Lamictal I believe is a mood stabilizer. I think it is more for bi-polar but not sure.

Zoloft sounds like something you would start first. Wellbutrin, well they often try that later on if the SSRI's don't work. I could be wrong but this was my experience.

I hope you talk to your doctor to find out if they will put you on medication or go with therapy. Let us know what happens.

lamictal is used as a mood stabiliser, esp with bi-polar disorders, but not exclusively. it works, i found to work best with another anti-depressant. lamictal is a foundation type med, works in the background and good for mania.

mood stabilizer, and I take it because of complex PTSD and dissociated disorder.

I'm on Lamictal with Wellbutrin. It works very well for me.

Recently I started Pain Management and the doc switched me from Wellbutrin to Cymbalta to treat the newly diagnosed Fibromyalgia, and I guess was supposed to also take care of my depression and anxiety. When I noticed my depression getting worse, they immediately lowered the Cymbalta dose, and added back in the Wellbutrin at the same dose I was on before, but split out in 2 smaller doses per day.
