Prozac

I will be starting Prozac on Wed. I was getting samples of Lexapro from my Dr. for the last 2 yrs. But they do nothave any to give me now & the insurance will not pay for the Lexapro since I have not tryed anything else (which I have in my early 20s but have ot taken anything for afew yrs before seeing my current Dr.) One of the 1st antidepession meds I tryed was Prozac (early 20s I am now 34) Prozac was one of the worst nes that I had been on, even my friends made comments about it & the effects it had on me at that time. DOes anyone know have they changed it at all? I know that I have changed in the 10+yrs since then so maybe it will work this time around. I am trying to go into this with an open mind bu it is very hard for me since I was on it before & I think the Dr put me on it cuz I told him the I was on it before & it didnt workout very well just so I can go back on the lexapro since we know that works for me. All I know is it is not good for to be off of my Antidepress meds for ore then afew days- it does not take long for my head to get all wacked out again & on top of it I also suffer from migraines which have been acting up the last few months & we ( my other Dr & I ) have been having to play around with my Topamax dose to get those under control again. I like to think I do OK when dealing with one problem but when I have both of them going on at once almost seems too much at times. I'm sorry I did not mean to start babbling. I started this cuz I tryed to look up some side effects on the Prozac but it just seems like they all have the same side effects- like they copy the side effect from one drug to the other whether it really has that effect or not. Can you post you experience with Prozac. The big thing that I remember when I was on it was it was like one dose was not enough & the next dose was too much & I was more of a zomby & just there I still had the thoughts in my head but body was just there & didn't want to do anything (if that makes any sense) I also gained weight at that time of my life too.
