New to Forum Need to Understand Abbreviations

I don't know where to post this and I looked around but couldn't find any answers. So anyway, is there someplace that lists different abbreviations that are used in the forums and chat rooms and what they mean for us newbies.

Examples, what does

A/P mean?

pdoc

imo

there's more, but I don't want to look too ignorant. :-)

Welcome to the Healing Well forum. We're glad to have you! :) I don't know of any list of appreviations, however I think I've figured out what some of the meanings are by using the context of other posts. If I'm wrong - I'd greatly appreciate it if someone would set me straight.

A/P - anxiety/panic disorders forum
pdoc - psychologist and/or psychiatrist

I'm not sure of what imo stands for and there's one that Lyn uses - ROFLMAO - I don't know what that stands for either. Hopefully someone else will cruise by and give us some additional info.

Hi and welcome!

IMO is "in my opinion" sometimes seen as IMHO which is "in my honest opinion" or "in my humble opinion".

ROFLMAO is "rolling on floor laughing my arse off" and ROFL is "rolling on floor laughing" and

ROFLMBO is "rolling on floor laughing my butt off".

Asking questions is a sign of curiosity and intelligence!! Ask away!

Hi wv-yankee,I stumbled upon a site on the internet that gave a list of abreviations for chat. I dont remember the name of the site,butjust type in chat language or how to chat talk. Something should come up that will help you. Im still learning chat myself. I hope this will help you some.
