I smoked 1-2 packs for 30 years. I quit a 100 times probably. I tried nicotine gum, patches, hypnosis and god knows what else and nothing seemed to work. Three years ago I got a slight cold and decided to quit and haven't smoked since. I think when you're ready you're ready. You need to imagine yourself as a nonsmoker and make changes in you're life style that keep you busy with activities that don't allow you to smoke. I know, easier said then done. I guess it really takes a change in attitude. Just don't give up, eventually you'll be successful. Believe me, if I can quit anyone can....
