Do you have any songs or types of music you like to play when you're feeling down? I recall that when I was in the throes of my deepest depression and GAD, I'd listen to a classical music tape I'd made over and over again...one of the songs was Warsaw Concerto. It seemed to match my mood and I always hated when the piece would end. Moonlight Sonata was beautiful and seemed to be sadly, yet gently, caressing my soul. Now, when I get a little down, I like to listen to Woyaya by Art Garfunkel. It's on his Angel Clare cd. It's lovely!!! And there are children singing with him. Most of the song goes like this: "We are going, heaven knows where we are going, we'll know we're there. It will be hard we know...and the road will be muddy and rough, but we'll will get there, heaven knows when we will get there. We know we will." Art's beautiful voice, along with the innocence of the children raisng their voice in song, brings in a feeling of fresh hope and then the background music is lilting, yet spirited...oh, if you can get a chance, you should listen to it! His other songs are great too! On this site, you can listen to samples of songs. If you do listen, also try out "Mary Was An Only Child". It's about
a sweet girl that is poor, lonely, and neglected. The last verse says, "And if you watch the stars at night and you find them shining equally bright, you might've seen Jesus and not have known what you saw, but you'd notice a gem in a five and dime store."
